We're seeing a lot of our employee's pictures missing in the Board View - we see a Gray Dot with a question mark in the middle like it can't pull the profile picture, even though that same users picture shows up in other parts of Teams just fine.     The only way to see who is assigned to the card is to hover over each gray icon to see what name it is tied to.    Hopefully that can be addressed soon as well!   My company uses this feature a lot.
