Planner/project is getting better, but there are still a lot of things that are needed to make it useful and productive.

- Allow for grouping by many different fields and sorting of tasks. Introduce the "task type" attribute that allows people to set things like Phase, Task, Feature, Bug, etc. and maybe this delineates email from todo from project task.
- Make the "pinned" projects drag/drop/sortable. Provide a right-click menu that is useful.
- Allow people to create "views" of the lists (filtered, grouped, etc.) so that teams/departments/functions can have views without clutter of other team items.
- Provide something other than % complete for status (e.g., in progress, developed, etc. that can be edited).
- Allow tasks to be completed without setting dates.
- Allow integration between projects (Program? Portfolio?).
- Show resource allocation across all projects.
- Show a Calendar with the option to show/filter milestones, etc.
- Allow the project manager (and others?) to be emailed when ANY task is upcoming, late, added, or completed. Currently, I have to add myself to all important tasks with dates just to be reminded (across 10-15 projects).
- BUT MOST OF ALL: Please make the Gantt chart useful! It is almost "pretty" as it functions now, but I have found it to be totally useless without the ability to set visible attributes to the left, bottom/top, right, etc. of the chart bars. The chart should be useful without needing the list to the left. Microsoft Project was the standard for Gantt and the web version functions like a graphic designer (NOT product manager) defined it.
