I have update my public IP address here: And I have created a https certificate for the find-a-tradie.com.au web site using 'Certify the Web' windows software. All good that far. But I can't access https://www.find-a-tradie.com.au in chrome. I want to enable access to the same website from two different URLs. The website is hosted for internal use. The internal URL is internal.example.com But now I want to open this website to the public using external.example.com There is no option to add a new building to this website. Hi everybody! My company would like to use MantisBT and i got the task to setup mantis but i have some problem with it. I would like to run MantisBT on port 443 (https) but one application already use this port. (This application isn't based on IIS). The server which should run MantisBT has two network cards and using Windows Server 2019. The first (x.x.x.1) is used by the necessary monitoring application, the other one (x.x.x.2) should used by MantisBT. The problem is if i bind x.x.x.2 IP to port 443 than i got an error message: The process cannot access the file because: it is being used by another process.(Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070020) Any idea what should i do? Can you give me step by step advice? Thank you. Have a nice day! PNpnanyJan 13, 2025Copper Contributor18Views0likes0CommentsUpdate to de lastest version of IIS
HI! In the company I work for, we have many servers with several versions of Windows Server (from 2012 R2 to 2022) and some of them have the IIS role installed. I have to check if IIS is updated in every server, so I'd like to know if you can help me whit the following: How can I Update IIS to te lastest version? I searched the web and looks like the only way to upgrade it is using WIndows Update, but in my organisation it is disabled by policy. I was searching for information about the different versions of IIS in Microsoft learn and all I found was this: Internet Information Services (IIS) - Microsoft Lifecycle | Microsoft Learn. I understand that there are several versions of IIS 10, some of the available only for Windows server 2019 and others only for Win Server 2022. Where can I find that info? Thank you.marcelo5284Jan 07, 2025Copper Contributor79Views1like1CommentHow to integrate with Angular ngCspNonce`
Good Day I'm trying to set up CSP Nonce support with Angular, using IIS on Windows-based Azure App Service Plans. I can't switch to a different web server due to other requirements, so I'm stuck with IIS. What I need to configure is a replacement for 'nonce-random_nonce_value' In Apache or Nginx, this is trivial, but on IIS how do I tell it to replace "nonce-random_nonce_value" with "nonce-<blah-long-hash>". I'm hosting an ASP.NET Core application (v6.0.33) on an AWS virtual machine with IIS. I installed the .NET Hosting Bundle matching the application’s version. After verifying the website runs fine with dotnet run, I encountered an "HTTP Error 500.30 - ASP.NET Core App Failed to Start" when trying to access it via IIS. After troubleshooting extensively—including checking various threads on Stack Overflow, GitHub, and Microsoft forums—I found this article https://www.quickpickdeal.com/coding/http-error-500-30-asp-net-core-app-failed-to-start-with-iis-a-real-world-solut that suggested installing not only the Hosting Bundle but also the .NET SDK and Runtime. Surprisingly, this approach worked. My question is: Why did I need all three components (Hosting Bundle, SDK, and Runtime) to get this application working in IIS? I expected the Hosting Bundle alone to be sufficient for deployment. Could there be a dependency that IIS requires that isn't covered by the Hosting Bundle?ashokpatel457Oct 28, 2024Copper Contributor99Views0likes0CommentsHow to fix Error System.Web.HttpApplication does not implement IHttpModule in IIS

I have an ASP.NET web application that uses a WCF service to interact with the database and handle business logic. Under normal load, everything functions as expected. However, when the load increases, the WCF service returns a 403 - Request Forbidden error. I attempted to capture a dump using DebugDiag, but it hasn't provided any useful information. While there are many guides available on capturing dumps, none seem applicable to this particular issue.SolvedDotnetAgentOct 05, 2024Brass Contributor244Views0likes2CommentsHow to Host a Rails App on IIS: Seeking a Simple Approach
Hello, I’m having trouble hosting my Rails app on IIS (Windows Server 2019). Unfortunately, I don’t have the option to choose a different server since the app will be hosted on an on-premise server, which also runs other applications on IIS (Windows Server 2019). I’ve read numerous discussions on this topic, and the most common feedback is that “it’s painful.” However, I haven’t been able to find a clear, step-by-step guide or solution. So far, I’ve come across the following options: Hosting with a reverse proxy Hosting with WSL Hosting with Docker However, I’m looking for a more traditional approach to hosting the app, similar to how one would typically host an application in other languages. As a developer with limited experience in server management, I’m not sure where to start. If anyone has any tips, tutorials, or guidance, I would greatly appreciate your help!Lobby1625Sep 25, 2024Copper Contributor493Views0likes5CommentsIIS issue - apsnetcore.dll not found
Hi, I am working on upgrading a server from 2012 to 2022 (on AWS). I have installed a fresh 2022 instance and have sued webdeploy to copy the entire IIS configuration from the 2012 server to the 2022 server. To try to further bring the server up to date, the 2012 server is running .Net 2.x and on 2022 I have installed .Net 8.x When I launch the 2022 server IIS runs but my websites won't come up - I keep getting a 503 error. When I look in the Event Viewer the error message I see is "apsnetcore.dll not found". I have spent some time trying to identify how to rectify this but so far have not been successful. Could anyone please give me any suggestions to try to find a fix ? TIArpreston845Sep 24, 2024Copper Contributor323Views0likes4Comments
