Extensions no longer supported

Elliot Kirk

Hello

With the latest Canary version the Ublock origin and Hotspot Shield extensions were disabled after the update, because they would no longer be supported by Edge
I re-enabled them and they work fine

Why this message ?
These extensions are always updated (if needed)

Thanks

especially as the roadmap document for the move to Manifest v3 still has v3 deprecation dates marked as TBD: not good to have this happen with no notification or annoucement

also noting that if you can't get the extension to switch on again, it's likely that you got it from the Chrome extension store and should try the version in the Edge extension store which can be switched on again

Having the same problem with latest Canary Version 135.0.3158.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) update.  AdGuard and uBlock are automatically turned off with message saying they are no longer supported.   But you can turn them back on and still work...

I saw the same in Edge Canary Version 135.0.3158.0. Also, the message said that uBlock Origin was disabled as it was no longer supported in "Chrome" (not Edge). I suspect these may have been mistakenly merged from Chromium.
