My Personal Meeting Invites Going to Shared Mailbox
Hello Everyone,
I am encountering a problem that I cannot seem to resolve. Whenever I receive a meeting invite, it not only appears in my personal inbox but also in the inbox of a shared mailbox to which I belong. This issue has been persistent since I started at the company, and our Exchange Admin has been unable to determine the cause.
I have verified that I do not have any rules set up in Outlook to forward these invites to the shared mailbox, nor do I have any delegation or sharing settings enabled. Interestingly, I am the only member of this shared mailbox experiencing this problem.
I am using Outlook for Mac. Has anyone else encountered this issue and, if so, how did you manage to fix it?
Thank you!
Since you are an admin, the easiest method to determine the cause for this is to run a message trace, the detailed one. The results will tell you why the message is being forwarded, and you can take it from there. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/monitoring/trace-an-email-message/message-trace-modern-eac
Most likely you have a transport rule set up, or the shared mailbox is configured as your calendar delegate. You can check the former via the EAC, the latter via Get-CalendarProcessing.
