Hello everyone! Some healthprobes on our Exchange 2016 Server have been reporting an unhealty state since the middle of February. OAB.Proxy, EWS.Proxy, Outlook.proxy and OutlookMapiHttp.Proxy. We have no mailboxes on the server, so its not critical, but I would still like to figure out what is going on. They all fail with "The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized" and if I try to invoke the probe i see this in the response: It looks like the SSL validation is not happening. Is it normal for the probe to use localhost for this? When I run "Get-WebServicesVirtualDirectory" both internal and external virtual directry is set to our external url. Any insight is greatly appreciated!63Views0likes2CommentsOutlook Search Folder for External Senders
I'm using the Outlook M365 desktop app on the current channel and Exchnage 2019 in Hybrid mode with Exchange Online. We route all mail inbound and outbound via Exchange Server. I'd like to create a search folder in Outlook to show only mails from external senders. The issue is the only criteria I can seem to create would rely on the From field and this seems to map to the SenderName on the MailItem object in Outlook. This is not the actual sender's mail address that would include the @domain etc but rather seems to be the senders name which is arbitrary from I can see e.g SomeSender. How to create a search folder based on the senders actual address?49Views0likes1CommentExchange Hybrid Wizard Error (413)

Hi I'm trying to build a few Dynamic Distribution Lists in Exchange Online and want to only include Active Users (i.e., users that are marked "Active" in Azure AD). I've tried using the UserAccountControl attribute (-eq 514 or -ne 514 - both are returning the same results, which is strange), but it still includes user accounts that are disabled. This is how my recipient filter looks like: RecipientType -eq 'UserMailbox' -and UserAccountControl -ne 514 What's the best way to achieve this in Exchange Online? I have an environment with an Exchange 2013 (15.00.1497.048) and an Exchange 2019 CU14 server installed. The new 2019 server appears to be fully operational with the exception of the system mailboxes, which means I cannot migrate the mailboxes off the 2013 server. What I have tried to resolve this issue: Re-run /PrepareAD - This did create the AD accounts; however, the system mailboxes were not created and when attempting to enable them getting the following error: "The user's Active Directory account must be logon-disabled for linked, shared, or resource mailbox." Checked for disabled or soft-deleted mailboxes - none that match the GUIDs for the system mailboxes Deleted the system accounts from Active Directory and re-ran /PrepareAD. It ran successfully and created the AD accounts; however, still getting the same error when attempting to enable the mailboxes. Looking for any insight into how to resolve this issue.37Views0likes1CommentCollect count of emails sent to ALL Distribution Groups in ExOL
Hey Team, I am looking for PowerShell assistance, such as exporting a list of all distribution groups and measuring how many messages were sent to each DG in the past 10 days. Basically, how can I combine "Get-DistributionGroup -ResultSize Unlimited | Select-Object Name, DisplayName,GroupType,PrimarySmtpAddress | Export-csv c:\temp\DistributionGroupReport.csv -NoTypeInformation" and "Get-MessageTrace -StartDate (get-date).AddDays(-10) -EndDate (Get-Date) -RecipientAddress email address removed for privacy reasons | measure-object | Select Count" to a single csv, if possible. Thanks.35Views0likes1CommentRandom Exchange Server to 365 migration batch fails with the error "SourceMailboxAlreadyBeingMoved"
I'm running a migration for a small customer (about 400 mailboxes). half of the mailboxes are migrated just a couple of random mailboxes failed with this error. Has anyone faced/worked around this issue? I've tried following with no success: -Tried after a server restart -Tried creating a new batch ---- Error ---------------------------------------------------------------- Data migrated: 46.29 MB (48,542,751 bytes) Migration rate: Error: SourceMailboxAlreadyBeingMovedPermanentException: Couldn't switch the mailbox into Sync Source mode. This could be because of one of the following reasons: Another administrator is currently moving the mailbox. The mailbox is locked. The Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Replication service (MRS) doesn't have the correct permissions. Network errors are preventing MRS from cleanly closing its session with the Mailbox server. If this is the case, MRS may continue to encounter this error for up to 2 hours - this duration is controlled by the TCP KeepAlive settings on the Mailbox server. Wait for the mailbox to be released before attempting to move this mailbox again. --> -->305Views0likes2CommentsMy Personal Meeting Invites Going to Shared Mailbox
Hello Everyone, I am encountering a problem that I cannot seem to resolve. Whenever I receive a meeting invite, it not only appears in my personal inbox but also in the inbox of a shared mailbox to which I belong. This issue has been persistent since I started at the company, and our Exchange Admin has been unable to determine the cause. I have verified that I do not have any rules set up in Outlook to forward these invites to the shared mailbox, nor do I have any delegation or sharing settings enabled. Interestingly, I am the only member of this shared mailbox experiencing this problem. I am using Outlook for Mac. Has anyone else encountered this issue and, if so, how did you manage to fix it? Thank you!44Views0likes1CommentAllowing staff to view invitees and attendees to meetings in Room Calendars
I'm currently in the process of setting up Room finder and meeting rooms for the organisation I'm working for. I've manged to get it all pretty much done but one request I've received is to allow everyone in the organisation to see not only the meeting name and organiser which I've already achieved using \calendar -User default -AccessRights LimitedDetails but also see everyone who is invited to the meetings and if they have accepted or declined. Is this possible at all? I've been trying to find a way but seem to be hitting a dead end. Even if give people delegated access to the room resource they still can't see it. I would really appreciate hearing other peoples advice and experience on this and if it's even possible at all. Many thanksSolved32Views0likes1Comment
