Locate Android fully managed
Hello,
I read that is now possible to locate Android Entreprise Fully managed in Intune : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/remote-actions/device-locate#supported-platforms
I activate the Locate device in the device restrictions for my phone test.
But every time I try to locate the device in Intune, I have the notification on the phone but I have an error on Intune : The locate device action failed. Try refreshing.
Did you try? Is it working?

We are testing this functionality as well and get the same results on 4 different phones. We created a device configuration profile to enable this setting--and I can see on the phone that location services is turned on, confirmed that Intune has permission to use location services-but there is supposed to be an alert on the device that states that the device lost and location is being queried-but that notification never shows up. Im wondering if since this uses bing maps-maybe bing maps app also needs to be installed? (actually there is no bing map app) If so that's stupid-but it would not surprise me. Also we are in Corp-owned Fully managed android enterprise.

Just tried it again. I pushed the policies and there is a notification on the device that the location was requested. Once i click locate device(which becomes available in the UI after the policy is pushed), everything works except the location is not showed on the map and an error is shown. I suspect this final part is not yet implemented by microsoft. I don't understand why this is not finished yet, we like to track a lost device.

This service not seems very reliable.
