Office Beta Channel Version 2502 Build 18516.20000
My beta channel Office suite updated to Version 2502 Build 18516.20000 this morning, and now Outlook crashes any time I select an email or open a calendar object. Not even opening the email, just selecting it crashes. Even when opening up in Safe Mode.
I've also performed Quick Repair and Full Online Repair with no change in behaviour.
In Word, just opening a document crashes out as well.

Same problem with Outlook. Switched back to Preview channel and waiting for next update.

Part of me is glad that I wasn't the only one... Generally the updates have been pretty good the last year or two, this one was completely unusable.

I added a regkey for "updatebranch" and switched from BetaChannel to CurrentPreview. After that I updated and went down to the Preview and got my Office Suite fixed.
I do not know of any way to roll back a version within the Specific channel.
Before switched Channels, I did swap out my wwlib.dll file with another one from a different build, the crashing stopped in Outlook, but Word still failed.
I did fill in a Feedback to MS in Outlook describing my issues, but never heard back. I had to switch channels as I was completely broken and unopperational. - MikeyJCopper Contributor
Did you manage to sort this? Roll back office version?

After doing a bit of googling as I'm still using Outlook in office 2016, I was able to revert back to the January 7th 2025 beta build by doing the following at an elevated command prompt,( press enter after each line).
cd %programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun
officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.18502.20000
I also tried using my Office 365 outlook which would still at least read emails, only to find out that data files are not supported. Hopefully this is something that will change as I use a lot of data files. Also, turn automatic updates off until the next beta update coming up sometime in February, (that's what I've read).

I just updated to the beta (Version 2502 Build 16.0.18526.20024), released on February 3rd. I've only checked my Outlook 2016 C2R at this point, but so far no crashing when opening emails including those in data files.
