When I try to open a Docx or Docm file that originated from the internet, I get the attached message and the file does not open. So far, I have only encountered this behavior with Docm files, which then open with a red warning bar but can still be edited with macros disabled. I have not seen this before with Docx files. The message is also misleading because it does not indicate the ZoneIdentifier, but rather implies that there are no file permissions. This is misleading and completely unnecessary for Docx files since there is no security issue involved. For DOCM files, neither a certificate nor listing as a trusted publisher helps.50Views0likes4CommentsOffice Beta Channel Version 2502 Build 18516.20000
My beta channel Office suite updated to Version 2502 Build 18516.20000 this morning, and now Outlook crashes any time I select an email or open a calendar object. Not even opening the email, just selecting it crashes. Even when opening up in Safe Mode. I've also performed Quick Repair and Full Online Repair with no change in behaviour. In Word, just opening a document crashes out as well. I've been using 365 and Word for about 8 months. When I want to open a Word or Excel file, I've gotten in the habit of opening 365 and going from there. Then I discovered that if you didn't save the file from the Word app, there's no way to get to it directly. You can open a blank Word document and then find the file from the Word app, but this creates an unwanted docx. Also, apparently if the file is not listed as recent or favorite or shared, you can't get there. Why not? Why is it not a hub for all MS work? PS What save button?244Views0likes0CommentsRevamp and refine selected text using Draft with Copilot in Word
