Additional Contacts for Legacy D365 Marketing Environment

For customers grandfathered to the legacy Marketing product when subscribed prior to Sept 1 2023, shouldn't there remain an option to adjust capacity in these environments?

Our direct reseller has blocked purchase of all the additional contact SKUs in the license portal so that they cannot be considered for add-on. Specifically we require the Dynamics 365 Marketing Addnl Contacts Tier 2 SKU.

We have a client who subscribed in May, has gone live within the past few months and is now able to calculate their monthly requirements but cannot make the adjustment and it will affect their production business process in December.

The reseller is relying on their own interpretation of the situation and either refuses or does not have access to a Microsoft Product Manager or other resource to definitively address this issue.

Thank you for posting to the community. Unfortunately, I cannot resolve your dispute, I can say that Resellers should work with the Indirect Provider

Thank you for the reply but with all due respect, this is not a dispute--it's a request for official licensing policy from Microsoft. To be succinct, when Microsoft changed Dynamics 365 Marketing to Customer Insights on Sept 1, 2023, what do existing customers of the legacy product do when they need to change capacity?
The answers seem limited, but specific. However, they aren't officially stated anywhere I can find.
Option 1 - able to purchase additional contacts/interactions capacity through the grandfathered period until they move to Customer Insights
Option 2 - forced to upgrade to Customer Insights immediately.
I'm merely asking which it is so I can pursue the right direction.
My organization is the Indirect Provider and my Reseller knows only a small fraction more than we do on any licensing topic we've approached them with. I merely need an official policy declaration if you're able to research one through a Product Manager or other knowledgeable resource.

      Thanks

Thank you for updating your post by clarifying that you are the Indirect Provider.

Existing Marketing customers should be able to purchase additional contacts. However, I've been informed that there is an issue with the product SKU, which is why it cannot be purchased right now.

I do not have an eta on a resolution, and it's likely that I will not receive an update since technical support is out of scope for my team. If you have not submitted a support ticket, I suggest that you do so, which may be the route that you receive updates.
