Add and Open files shared with you in windows explorer (OneDrive for Business)
Is there any way to add and open files shared with me onto my OneDrive
-- ie. To work on those files directly on my windows explorer folder, under my local OneDrive folder?
Came across this article https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Add-and-sync-shared-folders-to-OneDrive-8a63cd47-1526-4cd8-bd09-ee3f9bfc1504. However can't seem to find the option to Add a shared folder to my Onedrive. Suspect perhaps its not available on the business version of OneDrive?
Currently using the latest OneDrive for Business client (version 2016, build 17.3.6743.1212).
NGSC = Next Generation Sync Client, i.e. the new OneDrive client.
About syncing of "Shared with me" folders, please give a look to https://hansbrender.com/2016/12/26/onedrive-for-business-local-sync-of-shared-with-me-files/

With NGSC at the moment:
- You cannot sync "Shared with me" as a whole.
- You cannot sync individual files shared with you.
- You can sync whole folders shared with you.

Salvatore, sorry NGSC stands for...?
So syncing a whole folder to my local explorer OneDrive is possible then...where do I enable, or set that?
Thanks

John Tsalamandris In your onedrive, click on shared with me, then open the folder you want to sync, and the sync button will appear at the top of the folder. Again, this will only work for files in a folder, not in the root of shared with me.
- And to add to Salvatore's great answer, these features could come in the future so check the Office 365 roadmap, this Microsoft Tech Community and OneDrive user voice
