How To Turn Off OneDrive for Business Backup If you Can't Login?
I have a friend who's laptop she used for both personal and work, she has now left the company and one drive for business she has installed on her machine will no longer login due to her works Micros...
You can manually restore the default folder locations using these steps:
Manually Move the Folders Back
Open File Explorer (Win + E).
Navigate to C:\Users\username\OneDrive\ (or C:\Users\username\OneDrive - WorkAccount\ if it’s a business account).
Locate the Desktop, Documents, and Pictures folders inside OneDrive.
Manually move them back to C:\Users\username\ by cutting (Ctrl + X) and pasting (Ctrl + V).
Restart the computer to ensure the changes take effect.
Use the "Location" Tab to Restore Default Paths
If moving the folders manually doesn’t fully restore their functionality, you can reset their locations:
Right-click on each of the moved folders (Desktop, Documents, Pictures).
Select Properties.
Go to the Location tab.
Click Restore Default and then Apply.
If prompted, select Yes to move the files to the default location.
Unlink OneDrive Completely (If Needed)
If OneDrive is still interfering, try this:
Press Win + R, type cmd, and press Enter.
Run this command to reset OneDrive:
%localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\OneDrive.exe /reset
If OneDrive is still active, disable it from Startup:
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
Go to the Startup tab, find Microsoft OneDrive, and disable it.
