PowerBi get data from multiple site collections
Hi,
There is a requirement to produce a PowerBi report / dashboard but rather than getting information from a single site, their is a need to gather information from multiple site collections.
The other requirement is that these site collections can grow and the url's of the site are unknown until the site is created (all sites to be reported on will have the same pre-fixed characters though)
The sites will contain the same list and columns.
Ideally, PowerBi should be able to slice and dice the data from various sites.
Is this possible?
- It is possible to do it and there are a couple of approaches that can be used. The biggest issue I see is becoming aware of the new site collection. Do you have a process that is logging the creation some place?
