Make overdue tasks more visible

I'm a heavy user of To Do, and despite using it every day for several months, I just found the Overdue list under Planned. This is a really important list for me, but burying it here make it much less accessible and valuable.

 

I'd like to recommend two possible approaches to make overdue tasks more visible:

  1. Add an "Overdue" smart list to the sidebar, at the same level as Important, Assigned to Me, etc.
  2. Have an option to show overdue tasks in My Day similar to the current option for Due Today tasks.

    It's a little amazing to me that this has been an issue for such a long time. It should at least be an option to show or not show past due tasks in My Day. The default should always be for past-due tasks to take a priority position in any view. We're having a serious issue with people losing track of things because of this.

    It would be good to see this feature up front. I'd like to see what is going to cause me a problem rather than have to hunt for it in the planned tasks

      True ! Still not a thing in late 2024, and I lost track of some things indeed...

      I made a few lists in order not to bury everything in the main tasks section, but at some point, having that many lists...you forget to check them all every **bleep** day.

      At the very least, we should have an overdue section that's clearly visible on the left, or the overdue tasks should populate the "My Day" section EVERY DAY!
