Windows 11 upgrade failed
Hello, on some of our devices the upgrade from windows 10 to 11 is failing, with the message of Undoing Changes Made to Your Computer, i can see some log files created in a folder Rollback etc but i cannot understand what is wrong and what is causing this. Can i upload the logs somewhere so you can check it and let me know what would be the issue?

If the upgrade continues to fail, consider using Microsoft's Media Creation Tool to perform an in-place upgrade. This tool can download the Windows 11 installation files and let you install directly.

While I can't take a look at your logs directly, I highly recommend sharing the problematic sections of those logs with either a tech-savvy friend or a forum such as Microsoft’s community forums or a dedicated support subreddit. They can often help with specific log snippets that might indicate an underlying issue.

The error "Undoing Changes Made to Your Computer" usually happens due to one of the following reasons:
- Incompatible Hardware: Double-check that your device meets the Windows 11 system requirements (TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, supported CPU).
- Corrupted Installation Files: Try running Windows Update Troubleshooter from Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Pending Updates: Ensure your Windows 10 device is fully updated before attempting the upgrade.
- Third-Party Software Conflicts: Temporarily disable antivirus software and any non-essential startup programs before upgrading.
- Using Installation Assistant: Instead of Windows Update, try upgrading using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant from Microsoft’s official website.
You can check the "setupact.log" and "setuperr.log" in the C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther folder. If you want Microsoft experts to analyze it, you might need to share logs on OneDrive and post a link here.
By the way, I’ve also been experiencing an issue with online menus not loading properly on some browsers. I was recently checking the Texas Roadhouse menu, and some sections were missing or not displaying correctly on different devices. Could this be a browser compatibility issue? Have you noticed this with other restaurant websites?

Hi besuc!
It seems the upgrade is failing, and the system is rolling back due to an issue during the process. Unfortunately, I can’t check the logs directly, but you can try looking for specific error codes or messages in the logs that might give more details and post it here as an image for example if needed. Common causes for this issue can be incompatible hardware, missing updates, or insufficient disk space. You might want to make sure the device meets all the Windows 11 requirements and check for any pending updates or drivers that need to be updated before retrying the upgrade.
Hope it helps!
