- km734Copper ContributorDoes SPE supports tagging documents with Managed Metadata service?
- spucelik
Microsoft
Currently managed metadata is not a supported metadata item. Thanks for the feedback.
- patel_pragneshCopper ContributorDocuments uploaded in SharePoint embedded container surface in SharePoint Search?
- JamesEccles
Microsoft
All files in SPE are indexed by M365 Search. First, this makes them available in compliance search experiences. It also means that your app can use the Graph API to issue search queries to find SPE files. In addition, for each Container Type, its possible to set whether files will be discoverable in other M365 Search endpoints- such as Office.com
- colceriuCopper ContributorAre the permissions in SP Embedded identical to the ones in SPO? Looking at, for example, disallowing downloads. Can it be done? Leading to this question: can SP Embedded be used to manage highly sensitive content, so it comes with built-in document preview/streaming.
- JamesEccles
Microsoft
There are some differences- this article talks in detail about the permissions model in SPE. For highly sensitive content, SPE supports sensitivity labels from Purview, so you can apply that higher level of encryption and control.- colceriuCopper ContributorThanks. DId you mean to provide a link? You're saying "this article"..

SharePoint embedded container is site collection or document library behind the scene for storing documents?
- JamesEccles
Microsoft
Yes, that can be a helpful mental model- you can think of a container as a site collection that contains a single document library. Some of the limits are common (for example, that containers can store up to 25TB of data). But the fact that your app is providing the UI for the containers means that you might make different Information Architecture choices with containers vs site collections.- patel_pragneshCopper ContributorThank you.
- km734Copper ContributorWill there be a Power App connector for SharePoint Embedded?
- JamesEccles
Microsoft
You can use Power Platform against SharePoint Embedded today using the HTTP connector. We also have published guidance on using webhooks to automate triggers - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/embedded/tutorials/using-webhooks- km734Copper ContributorHow about 1st party connector so that customer can create and use containers in low code fashion? Current Sharepoint integration with Dataverse is somewhat limited when it comes to record/item level security without the use of 3rd party tools.
