- ajp999Brass ContributorWhich reports would you recommend running for providing the most up-to-date / real-time information on patch compliance rates - i.e. the built-in reports within the Intune Admin Center or WUFB reports? In addition are there are any plans to integrate or link WUFB reports from the Intune admin center as opposed to having to access it via the M365 admin center.
- ajp999Brass ContributorWhat plans do you have for improving the information available in the Intune admin center with regards to driver / firmware updates? Thinking particularly about a better description of the device drivers and the devices that these updated drivers are applicable to. Currently in the Intune admin center you often seen drivers listed with the same description but with a different version number and its not clear whether these are simply superseded drivers (and you should only install the latest version) or they relate to different components.

We understand that improving the clarity of driver and firmware information is a top priority for many customers.
To address this, we plan to introduce the following enhancements:
- Applicable Devices: This feature will show a breakdown of the device models applicable for the driver and will allow you to view or export the full list of applicable devices. This will provide a quick overview of the types of devices the driver will be offered to, along with the ability to see exactly which devices are applicable.
- Driver Model: This feature will provide additional insights about the specific hardware or software components each driver affects. Identifying drivers can sometimes be challenging, and this extra context will help clarify what the driver does or what it targets.
Drivers are published independently, dependencies on other drivers are not allowed. Direct supersedence is not captured and can only be inferred. We hope these two features will provide additional clarity, helping you better differentiate between similar drivers, understand the devices and components they target, and make more informed decisions.

- RuanITCJBrass ContributorIn regards to WuFb and autopatch and following up with being able to disable part of the KB without having to remove it (due to say a bug or known issues with it), does disabling part of the KB actually resolve the bug/issue that was introduced, and how will we be able to tell Intune which parts of an update to disable or revert? Has Microsoft noticed any negative behavior from Windows by disabling parts of an update?

For details and info on this feature, called Known Issue Rollback (KIR), see https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-it-pro-blog/known-issue-rollback-helping-you-keep-windows-devices-protected/ba-p/2176831.
Note that this feature is not directly related to WufB or Autopatch though.
- lalanc01Iron ContributorAny work is being done to add information to the WUFB DO report? I know that the community is actively creating their own reports with more valuable data to troubleshoot DO or show detailed savings, but it would be great to have it included in WUFB reports Thks

Thanks for participating in today's session of AMA: Managing Windows updates! For reference, the panel covered your question at 48:05.
- lalanc01Iron ContributorIs it in the works to devices see that they have feature update to install sooner? Right now it can take multiple hours/days for the devices to see if, but we sometime need to upgrade asap. Right now we need to leverage configmgr or regular setup for those scenarios. Thks
- lalanc01Iron ContributorIs there a way to increase the dismissal delay (currently 25seconds) to more or the only option is to use AutoRestartRequiredNotificationDismissal to require the user to dismiss? Thks
- owergameCopper ContributorHello there. We've been long time users of previous wufb setup with log analytics. The only thing bothering us since 2019. onwards was that some of the devices weren't able to "self-heal"/reset Windows update service once it's down. There were some of the 0x800xyz errors regarding Windows Update service that could only be resolved by fresh starting the mentioned devices. My question therefore would be, will anything be changed on the OS level to make the service itself more lightweight, more resilient and repairable? Also are there any advantages of going full Windows 11 organizationally wide?

Not sure if this has already been asked (just joined the web session) but personally I don't plan to control which drivers are installed on my Intune devices as we did in the past, but I am very interested in having control over when and how bios/firmware updates are installed. Something I have encountered out in the field is a user will start their device like 5 minutes before a meeting and the device will reboot/start into a bios update which depending on the device can take a moment. Any plans to give admins the options to say automatically install all updates and drivers and only have control over bios/firmware updates? Something like push the bios update to all devices on Friday 10am local time?
