Hi all, Not sure if anyone is having the same issue but recently, we notice that the Teams Public Preview toggle box is unticking automatically and every morning I need to ticked back again not to mention, that I've notice is going back to the "classic" settings where chats and teams are separated. The only around is to quit teams and reopen and it goes back to the new streamline chats & channels all in one place. Also, just this week alone I got about 4 updates on Teams, any seem the same behaviour?85Views0likes1CommentMissing Teams Chat
I have a user who is missing a Teams chat. They were invited to the meeting, but declined, but they still cannot view the chat from the meeting (which I believe they should). I have confirmed there are messages to view within the chat. We have tried: Clearing Teams cache Searching for the chat name but nothing is coming up. Any ideas how to pull this chat back for my user?39Views0likes2CommentsWorkflows: Activity only shows "Workflows posted a new message"
Hi! We have set up a workflow "Post to test channel when webhook received" which sends notification on failed tests from our build server to a Teams channel. The posts looks like this: But the information in activity has not any useful information. How to get the header from card to be showned in activity instead of "Workflows posted a new message". Our users do not need to know what "Workflows" is, they would like to know which test case did not pass. Is this something that can be fixed in the Teams software?58Views0likes0CommentsEdit other users posts in Teams
Hello, I am trying to find out if there is a way to edit other users posts. With the current situation that we all face if a user is unavailable but they are an owner of a page no other member of the Teams channel can edit the post to keep it updated. Also, this type of functionality would be useful for when users move roles as the information can be kept updated. I've tried to find the answer on the web but I've not been very successful. I would say that if it was an offer in Teams that Owners should be given the function. Also if it's not a function available, is there a way to feed it into Microsoft as it would really be beneficial.Solved10KViews3likes3CommentsUnable to search conversation for multiple words in different messages
When I'm hunting for a thread of conversation, I often need to search for more then one keyword. However, I have learned that if these keywords are in different messages in the same group chat or private conversations the search returns no results. Since messages in teams tend to be much shorter than in email, the details of a conversation are often spread over multiple messages. In addition, emails tend to have the whole thread included so searches are very effective. The searches in Teams should consider looking at messages that are in "close" proximity of time (hours/minutes for private/group chat or the entire thread for channels). It should then pick out the multiple lines that match ANY of the keywords.1.8KViews1like3CommentsTeams Email/Conversations
Hi. Recently, 3 weeks or so ago, we lost the ability to access Team email boxes from Conversations in SharePoint. In the past, we were able to open the email box from conversations but now when we do so, we are redirected to our own OWA mailbox and then to Groups. The Teams M365 Groups don't show up in that view. The only Groups that show up are O365 Groups or O365 Groups that were converted to Teams. We are extremely frustrated because we use these inboxes to receive emails from guests and other external users and it is impeding progress amongst our teams. Is anyone else experiencing this? We have a ticket open with MS but so far have not reached a resolution. Thanks!52Views1like3CommentsExtracting Device and Participation Details in Microsoft Teams
Hi everyone, I am working on a project for my organization to extract detailed information about Teams calls. Specifically, I need to gather data on the devices used by participants, as well as their join and leave times for each Teams meeting. This includes both participants and organizers. My current approach involves: 1. Using Microsoft Graph API to access call and participant data. 2. Fetching relevant details such as device type, join time, and leave time. - What are the best practices for extracting and managing this data? - Are there any specific API endpoints or techniques you recommend for efficiently retrieving this information? - How can I ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data collected? - Are there any tools or libraries that can simplify this process? Looking forward to your insights and experiences! Thanks in advance for your help!69Views1like2CommentsHow to silence the activity feed?
How do I silence the activity feed in Teams? It provides nothing of value, but I can't find a way to get it stop notifying me of pointless things, like someone giving a thumbs up to a post somewhere. It's doubly useless because the activity feed keeps pretending there's something I should know about even if I've obviously already seen whatever it wants to tell me about. So if someone puts a reaction on a message in a chat with me, I have to open the activity feed to get the stupid thing to stop pretending there's some activity about which I need to know. Since it's clearly broken, I need a way to get it to leave me alone. But I can't find a way to get just the activity feed to be quiet.Solved19KViews8likes12CommentsCalls from Microsoft Teams App compared to Teams web app
Hello Bit of a tricky one but I believe it maybe a network issue. I have a situation where the client calls a business contact, goes through to an IVR, press's the required selection and after getting put through to the agent all audio drops from the call. Strange aspect is, if you make the call with the Teams app, it works, make it with the Teams web app and it fails (I have tested this by calling from two numbers that go over completely separate carriers). I have captured network logs and can see a continuous stream of UDP so I know the call is not failing, it seems the audio process is being dropped when being routed through the webb app. Has anyone had this before or would know the difference route/process a teams app phone call makes to a teams web app? I believe it is probably a network issue on the B Party side, but as with most calls, proving that is half the work. I am going to do my own research but not come across clear yet, if anyone has anything to add that would assist in this I would be grateful (as well as if I come up with the answer I will put this down as it is an inconvenience for the client).22Views0likes0Comments
