Hello, When quitting Teams for Windows the app restarts automatically by displaying the following message at the top "There was a glitch, and we had to restart the app. It's good to go now. until I quit it again and then it remains closed. Does anyone knows how to address this issue? Thank you.33KViews14likes40CommentsHow to have notifications more prominent and stay open?
We are trying to use Teams in our business, instead of Slack. The main reason is to have additional project related systems in one place. We can use Teams for video, files, notes, and even add in Asana tabs. The less software to do all we want the better. But we are struggling to make the final move over from Slack because we keep missing activity. We have enabled as much as we can we think, but what happens is a banner appears in the top right (on my Mac) and a little noice I think, but then it goes. There is then no alert on the screen. So if I leave my desk for 5 mins and come back, there is nothing to alert me of a chat. Same for my team mates, I send them a chat and am waiting HOURS until they notice it, then the chats are all full of apologies for missing it. If we use teams, my current workflow is start a chat on teams, then use Slack to tell them. Clearly something is wrong here. We cant switch to teams if we keep missing chat. Chat needs to be responded right away. I dont mind missing some other activities like someone uploaded a file. If they need my attention they should start a chat, but without proper notifications Teams is un-productive. Teams is not appearing in the Mac notifications settings where I can choose to make it a persistent banner and things like that. But my colleagues are on Windows and have same issue so its not a Mac thing. Am I missing some setting somewhere, I cant imagine millions of teams users having this same issue? Thanks!Solved54KViews12likes28CommentsHow to silence the activity feed?
How do I silence the activity feed in Teams? It provides nothing of value, but I can't find a way to get it stop notifying me of pointless things, like someone giving a thumbs up to a post somewhere. It's doubly useless because the activity feed keeps pretending there's something I should know about even if I've obviously already seen whatever it wants to tell me about. So if someone puts a reaction on a message in a chat with me, I have to open the activity feed to get the stupid thing to stop pretending there's some activity about which I need to know. Since it's clearly broken, I need a way to get it to leave me alone. But I can't find a way to get just the activity feed to be quiet.Solved19KViews8likes12CommentsDeleting Approvals
Am about to start using the Approvals app in Teams. In the course of setting it up and demonstrating the process I have accumulated a number of "test" approvals. I cannot see how I can remove these approvals so they are not cluttering up the list when we start using this process in real work. My Internet searches on the topic have not provided any useful information. Is it possible to delete them?Solved54KViews7likes18CommentsMS Teams Whiteboard - Compatibility with pen tablet
Hi there, I have a specific question around MS Teams Whiteboard. The functionality is great to have but many of the educators I work with, would have very specific things to draw on the board that is hard to draw using a mouse. Are there pen tablets out there that will definitely work with MS Teams Whiteboard to allow educators to draw more complex things with their class? I have looked at Wacom pen tablets but I can't seem to find a definite answer for this question. Any insight would be amazing!144KViews6likes10CommentsNew Channel Assignments Tab Option for all channels
The recent update to the Teams channel system and being able to make private channels is excellent. However having the option for an assignments tab for each new channel would make even more sense now too. At the moment we have about 28 Teams when we should only really need about 4-5. Our classes have groups but because only the general tab can have assignments we have to have a different Team for every group of a class, it makes it difficult to keep track and it clutters the list in Teams as well. Being able to have a Team of people in Channels with each channels own assignments tab would make things easier.Solved6.2KViews6likes2CommentsTeams opening too many windows during a call
Recently Teams updated. Now it shows 3 different windows during a call: the teams normal window, the call window and some small window that pops up at the bottom of the screen when I minimize the call window. I cannot begin to describe how annoying and frustrating this is. Is there a way to have everything in just ONE window, the way it was before?I especially don't want that stupid little window to pop up at the bottom of the screen when i move away from the call. Having to close it everytime is just too annoying especially because often i need to switch to and from the call window. Also having 3 different team windows is a nightmare when i have to switch often between programs. It was really well before, can I revert to the previous version when the call window used to appear in the teams window itself?7.4KViews5likes6CommentsWhy Teams is slowing down my Mac?
It's been a while since I've been having issues with my MacBook Pro 16" performance while using teams for example in a call or in a live event, and I can't even think of having the app open while editing a video or editing some graphics in Illustrator or Photoshop... Microsoft Teams "Helper" is using over 1 GB of RAM while just open + 200 mb the app itself, while in a call gets crazy... Has anyone having this issue?? My Mac's system overview is: - MacPro 16" 2019 - 2.6 GHz 6-Core i7 - 16 gb RAM - AMD Radeon Pro 5300 4GB - Intel UHD 630 - 520 SSD Help please!!!Solved142KViews5likes33CommentsTeams: Banner Notification Duration
Hello, Is there a way to allow the Team Banner Notification to be customized such as the duration the notification stays up. Business Case: A busy medical office needs to communicate with the rest of the staff via Teams, but a staff member is going in and out of all the exam rooms. While the Red Dot notification in the system tray is great the Banner Notification is more noticeable. Problem: Banner Notification disappears after 15 seconds. Request: Customized the duration of the Banner notification for up to an hour. Thanks, Microsoft Teams for all the hard work you have put into this product.Solved33KViews4likes10Comments
