I have configured Azure Stack HCI Stretched Cluster with Network ATC. Strange behaviour i am noticing is with naming of Cluster Network(screenshot 1). e.g. current name is "Cluster Network1", gets changed to "Unused: Cluster Network1". Also Live Migration settings(screenshot 2) keep selecting multiple adaptors by itself even i uncheck all and only keep "LM" on top an checked. Any suggestions or fix to this.800Views0likes6CommentsAzure Stack HCI / Azure Local with Stretched Cluster support?
Hi, i need to propone an Azure Stack HCI solution in streteched cluster mode. I see that the stretched cluster is available only in 22h2 version.. It's an old version.. When the Stretched cluster mode will be available on Azure stack hci o windows server 2025 for local only deployment? Thanks!Solved372Views1like6CommentsGuidance on Network Configurations for Azure Stack HCI Cluster
Hello All, I am going to deploy my very first Azure Stack HCI cluster. I need guidance on how to assign the IP addresses to the NICs, what should be IP address scheme, and best practices. Details of network adapters are as follows: 2 NICs of 25 Gbps for compute/Virtualization (VMs) traffic 2 NICs of 25 Gbps for Storage 2 NICs of 1 Gbps for Mgmt Questions: (1) How to assign the IP addresses? since it's my first time with the black screen. (2) How to configure SET for the NICs to be used for virtualization/compute step-by-step? (3) I know that I don't need to configure SET (Switch Embedded Teaming) for the Storage NICs, but what should I do for the Mgmt NICs? Should I configure SET for them OR should 1 NIC be enough for the Mgmt? (4) How to configure SET step-by-step? (5) What is the recommendation for the IP address scheming for all the NICs? Let's say I'm assigning 10.4.8.x to the Mgmt NICs, should I use the same IP address scheme for Storage and Compute NICs as well, or should I assign some different IP schemes like 172.x.x.x (6) There are 2 NICs for Storage and we are not configuring SET for them... So, just to confirm, will I need to assign 2 IP addresses for Storage on each server? (7) How to enable the iWARP RDMA for the Storage NICs? I'm thinking to use iWARP RDMA as I read MSFT engineers recommend/prefer iWARP over RoCE. Please confirm my understanding. (8) For the Mgmt NIC, first I will configure the SET then I will assign the IP address to the SET NIC, just like we used to with the conventional NIC Teaming in Windows Server 2012 R2. Apologies in advance for such basic questions... It's my first time with Azure Stack HCI... Thank you very much!Solved8.2KViews1like9CommentsPanel Discussion on Azure Stack Hub Billing

I recently started studying Azure Stack for a possible project, I would like to know if it is possible, for example, to use a Storage Account in Azure Stack and an Azure Databricks consuming information from that local Storage Account. In addition, is traffic charged as if it were data transfer between regions?1.4KViews0likes2CommentsLinux with Db2 cluster on Azure Stack Limitation
We are using Linux based IAAS compute service with 2 or more Db2 and GPFS nodes setup in Active / Standby mode. Here the cluster fail-over mechanism needs a VIP which I assume is not available on Azure Stack Hub. In the Azure public cloud, the backend cluster uses the automatic script via Azure CLI to update private DNS zone and A record with CNAME to promote the Master / Active node during the fail-over process. Is that correct that the Private DNS zone services unavailable on Azure Stack Hub hence we can't form a cluster like this. I read on the Azure Stack Hub DNS article that we have an internal zone as azurestack.local that's used for infrastructure services in Azure Stack Hub. It's Directory Service-integrated and private (not reachable from outside the Azure Stack Hub deployment). But this recursive server is used to resolve names of everything except for the "internal private zone" and the external public DNS zone for that Azure Stack Hub deployment. What is the workaround or solution to resolve our issue for private DNS zone.734Views0likes0Comments
