I noticed in the newer versions of edge collections "Start to collect" - After searching I've found this to be a very bad addition to collections. Collections actually got me away from pocket but with this "Start to collect" I am wanting to go back to pocket. I submitted feedback but am hoping MSFT is reading these as Edge is a great browser - the collection option is great - especially when my favorites are full/unorganize I use collections for my "focus on" options.20KViews53likes102CommentsSet Aside Tab Feature | Collection Added to Edge insider Dev and Canary
Now you can Set your Tabs Aside Quickly and reopen them later. these tab groups Can get Synced with other devices that have Edge browser installed (Only desktops for now) so you can also resume your work from another computer. The tab groups that are set Aside are non-volatile, meaning they are not automatically deleted once you reopen them (unlike Edge legacy's behavior) you can give custom names to the tab groups you set Aside. Here is a 1080p 60FPS video to show you how easily it's done: https://streamable.com/uitriSolved19KViews14likes50CommentsAdd local pdfs to collections and have pdfs in splitview
As the title is mentioning it would be awesome to add local saved pdfs that are open in edge to a collection. In that way i could have collections for different subjects in university. The other suggestion i have would be to have two pdfs alongside eachother (like splitview in a racing game but here vertical) so i can compare them or have a look at the lecture and the tasks at the same time. For now i have to open them in different windows but this isn't always helpful when i have to do open file explorer or so on, because it is messing thngs around and i have to click on each windows to have it back in top.5KViews11likes2CommentsEdge Collections: Feature request and bug/problem report
Sharing a collection only has 2 options and it's "Send to Excel or Word". it only uses the online Excel/Word regardless of whether or not the users has the Microsoft Excel/Word programs installed on their computers. Addressed Add an option to share collections to OneNote. Addressed add an option to let us Email a collection. Let the collections identify and detect the installed version of Word, Excel, OneNote and preferably use them instead of opening their online versions, which should be the last resort. Collections Don't work with websites that require the user to sign in before seeing the contents. collections only rely on publicly available contents. so for example when using a private group or page on Social media, when using WhatsApp for web, when using Telegram web, using online Forums and thousands more services that require user login, Collections are useless in these situations. the solution is instead of just adding a link of the contents to the collection, copy the actual content to the collection, this way even if the original content on the web gets taken down, deletes or becomes unavailable, the users can still access the saved contents on their collection. When adding/drag&dropping texts to a collection from a rather long page (such as an article in docs.microsoft.com), only the URL of the page where the text was copied from gets added to the collection, Not the exact location of the text. there is No text anchor attached to the text entries in collections. so if i add a paragraph from the middle of a page to my collection, then close that tab and click on the copied text in my collection, it will just reopen that page, it won't show me exactly where the text was copied from, just stays at top of the page. Addressed add a keyboard shortcut for opening the Collections panel. Addressed Add a search functionality for the Collections, either from the omnibox or a small search box from the collections panel. Feel free to add anything else. Thanks Edge team10KViews8likes19CommentsLet us create shared/collaborative Collections
Hi, please add a feature to let us create a shared collection. user will have to add someone else's email address to grant them access to the collection, and then two or more people can collaborate on the same collection. the collection creator can choose to give others permission to "view only" or "view and edit". this will be quite useful in many situations, me and my colleagues would definitely benefit from this. if you like the idea, please send it using the feedback button on Edge press (...) menu => help and feedback => send feedback Thank you1KViews7likes2CommentsCollections in Edge for Android
I installed Edge on my Android phone today because I'm using Collections in both my desktop and laptop, and wanted to add some links from my phone as well. I didn't find any way to see / edit Collections on Edge mobile, and I can't find any information about Collections being supported in the future either. Is there any information about that?7.9KViews6likes7CommentsCollections, ability to edit the collection item title. (Some get save with identical titles)
When adding a page to a collection, the title of the collection item is automatically generated and cannot be edited. This is a request to be able to edit the collection item title. On some websites, different pages (see my photo) get the same collection item title and one cannot distinguish between the two. In my example I added two different pages from a masterclass.com lesson. They both are titled "MasterClass". One was a page about kitchen tools, the other a page about glazing carrots. In the current collection implementation, I cannot tell which collection entry is for Kitchen tools and which is for glazing carrots: The collection list would be much easier to navigate if I could edit the title of "MasterClass" on each one, for example I could edit one to be "MasterClass Tools" and one to be "MasterClass Glazing Carrots".1.1KViews4likes4Comments
