Power Query freezes in Excel
Hello, I'm having issues editing queries in Excel. Whenever I enter a Power Query window, the window opens but shows no data and all excel sheets freezes. I can highlight the tools but they do not react when I try to click them. Nor can I close the Power Query window. The only way I manage to close excel is by forcing it through task manager in windows. I believe the problem started when I updated excel from verision 1902 to 1907. I have reinstalled office and I am now running version 1908, but the problem is still present. I have tried to access power query in multiple workbooks, but with no success. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Any suggestions on how to fix this would be very welcome. Screen freeze or stuck (circles stop moving) when log in to user profile
We're running a mix of dedicated Windows 11 Pro and Enterprise (mainly) VMs for user desktops/AVD. During the login process to the user profile (eg. AD authentication), the blue screen will often freeze/get stuck and the circles stop moving. However, at times the other screens (if more than one screen) will load the user's desktop. Sometimes it doesn't load the desktop on any screen at all. The workaround is to minimise the AVD Windows session and drag/enlarge the Windows session to appear on all screens and then maximise it. The more extended workaround is to disconnect the session and reconnect especially if the desktop is not loading on any screens. Has anyone experienced this issue? Any idea what is the possible cause and fix? It is quite frustrating.
YouTube Video Stutter when playing simultaniously
Having issues with YouTube video stuttering and freezing when playing multiple videos at the same time. This does not affect audio playing, so the video is still streaming, but when ever another youtube video plays in another window at the same time the one currently playing will freeze. This also happens in InPrivate windows. Been happening for a number of months. This does not happening when playing one in Chrome and the other in Edge. Are there any currently know issues or fixes for this problem? Edge 112.0.1722.48 running Windows 11 with Nvidia 3080 graphics card.
Trying to create a question-by-question quiz and stuck on grading system.
What I've done is created a question by question quiz that should tell you if you're correct and then automatically go to the next randomly generated question. Essentially the idea is that when (eg) Q1 appears in E4 then E5 shows that particular question with E9,F9,G9,H9 showing the four options. You respond by typing that response into F11 and are told whether or not you were correct in E13. once you are told whether or not you are correct then a new question number is randomly generated in E4 and so on and so forth. I have not put any end to that yet as I was hoping to do something akin to If attempts = 120 then 0 Unfortunately because the question changes the response is calculated too quickly and all you see is "incorrect" even when correct because by then it is already on to the next question. So I need a way to keep track of "correct" responses and the number of attempted questions. I was looking at doing a formula based on a table of =IF(AND(Quiz!E4="Q2",Quiz!F11='Questions and answers'!C3),1,0), but I encounter the same issue. And changing the calculation from automatic seems to prevent ALL calculations instead of just the desired area. Basically what I need is something like IF(E13="Correct",+1) as a kind of continuous counter. I'll also need a reset option such as IF(F2=236, Reset). Otherwise I need a way to AUTOMATICALLY "Freeze" an individual cell when a certain requirement is met. eg. =IF(G19=1,1,IF(AND(Quiz!E4="Q2",Quiz!F11='Questions and answers'!C3),1,0)) I created a table ranging F30-I154 with formulas such as - =IF(AND(Quiz!E4="Q113", Quiz!F11='Questions and answers'!E225),1,0) I've also tried a different variant of =IF(F144=1,1,IF(AND(Quiz!E4="Q113", Quiz!F11='Questions and answers'!E225),1,0) (no effect) I've also tried Different variations of =COUNT(E13="Great Job! You got the question right!",0) On the original sheet. Any suggestions? Please note I have no background in VBA so I'd prefer either a formula or settings fix. Otherwise, I'll need step by step instructions. ANY help will be greatly appreciated..
Flickering, Black Screen, Taskbar, YouTube Bugs and more at my new Spectre X360 13"
Three months ago I purchased the HP Spectre X360 13" , i7 , 16gb RAM, 512 SSD and since then I have been experiencing some certain screen bugs, especially when the laptop stays on for several hours. 1) Flickering, Black Screen, Freeze and Breaking: It always starts with intense flickering and cracking of the screen (i.e. distorted letters and numbers), then the screen freezes for seconds and the display gets filled with horizontal lines of the headers of the current open windows. As I move the cursor this becomes more and more frequent, while when I use two fingers on the mousepad the screen turns black. 2) No Taskbar: Another thing that I have experienced in the past is the headers of the current open windows to appear both on the top and at the bottom of the screen replacing the window's task bar, which also happens for some seconds. 3) YouTube Bugs: While viewing some videos on YouTube I have experienced a) The video image "running" to the left of the screen like it has been on a spinning wheel. b) When shifting to full-screen mode the video image remaining at small size, c) half the video image being on display as if it could not load the whole pictureThe RDP service is operational, but it's not listening on port 3389
We have a Windows Server 2022 system and we are facing a significant issue with RDP freezing. The "umrdpservice" and "termservice" services are running without any problems, but when using the "netstat" command, it shows that the server is not listening on port 3389, which is the standard RDP port. I've tried various solutions, but the problem has persisted for a year, even though I regularly update the system. I've taken actions like increasing the session limit, but with no success. This issue is accompanied by an event log message: "RD Session Host Server session creation failed. The relevant status code was Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted." However, this warning doesn't seem to contain specific information, as there is no second service that would be using the same port. The problem is that RDP connections can unexpectedly disconnect even up to 30 times a day, without any specific pattern in terms of timing. Please assist in finding a solution to this problem. It's worth noting that this issue is only present on Windows Server 2022, while versions 2019 and earlier do not experience these problems.
