This flag may be overriden by policies. – Mac, Windows #enable-ambient-authentication-in-guest-session If I'm right, it's supposed to facilitate sign-ins while in InPrivate mode or browsing in Guest session. trying to sign in to my Microsoft account or Office 365 account in either of those modes, I didn't notice any difference. so any further info about these flags and how they exactly work is appreciated, thank youSolved18KViews0likes2CommentsHotmail or Gmail guest not able to access the MS team web application
Hi, I try to invite hotmail or gmail (email) as guests for my MS team members. i use my hotmail account as test. i receive the invitation letter, and I am able to log in my hotmail account, how every I am not able to find 'Team app' or 'Sharepoint app' in this hotmail account (it is free) show as follow: according to this post, people may still access the MS teams even without office365 account. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/guest-joins but I am not able to access MS teams through my free hotmail account. so, my question here is: 1. is free hotmail or gmail account without 365 still can participate in the MS team, chat and sharing files in a specific channel? if so 2. in my case, how could i make that happen. ? thank you!11KViews0likes2CommentsRemoving a one-time participant from a recurring meeting
Hi, During a recurring weekly meeting, we decided to manually add a participant in the middle of the meeting that usually is not invited. Ever since, their name has been in the participant list. How can I remove it? Barry7.5KViews1like2CommentsAllow Tenant-Guests to connect to a Universal Printer of my Company to Print there to
I would like to have the option to add a Guest Account to a specific Printer from my Printer list and let them Print. Maybe we can add another option to only allow Guest Printing from a specific Network, or a possible option to use Guest Printing with Conditional Access Policy, that a Guest can not Print for Fun in our Tenant.6.3KViews71likes10CommentsPerson or Group Column not returning external users in the assigned SharePoint Group
We have a few Person/Group columns in a document library that are configured to look up to users in a particular SharePoint Group. At some point today when trying to lookup a person, who is an external user, they are not returned to select, even though they are in the SharePoint Group Example below, the Assigned To field is configured to lookup to a SharePoint Group 'XXX Group'. In this group there are three people called Andrew (Andrew A, Andrew B, Andrew C). Andrew A & B are internal users, Andrew C is a guest user who the site has been shared with and added to 'XXX Group'. This has been working for over a year, but today i cannot get Andrew C to return in the list of People. Hope this makes sense! Is anyone else experiencing this?5.7KViews0likes4CommentsInvite guest user to a private channel meeting
Hi, I have a team with two private channels (set up as a work around for Teams not having the breakout room feature for meetings). I have guest users who are assigned to one or other private channel. When I send an invite I can only add the general channel and not one of the private channels. Is it possible to invite to a private channel without opening the meeting in the guest channel first? Thanks Phil4.8KViews0likes1CommentBest approach to prevent external users from accessing sharepoint online
We have a classic team site collection, which contain 70 sub-sites (where each sub-site has unique permission), and some sub-sites have been shared with external users (mainly by adding the external user to the site member group or visitor group). now we need to remove 3 external users and prevent them from accessing sharepoint. But we are not sure which sub-sites has been shared with these users, so what is the best way to globally remove the external user and prevent them from accessing office 365 and specifically the sharepoint sites that have been shared with them? I am having issues with a user and guest access, but it is for a team she is supposed to be a guest for. We have Teams set up and everything is working fine on our end. The user was added as a guest to a team in another tenant but doesn't seem to be getting access. She received the email telling her she has access, but when she follows the link and signs in, it just loads her normal teams and not the new team she is supposed to have access to. The one thing I can think of is with our setup, user's email addresses do not match their UPN (the email address is company.com and UPN is company.company.com, don't ask it's a long story). I was wondering if this could be the issue. Since she was added as user@company.com but when she sings in she is signing into user@company.company.com it isn't matching up? Her email address is tied to her account, but I'm not sure what else we should even be looking at. Thanks.3.9KViews0likes2CommentsGuest user invintation
Hello guys, Im testing the Microsoft Teams (office 365 Buisness Premium) product. I try to invite some guest's users to join a team I've created ( public) but when I type the adresse like blabla@gmail.com it say only "user not found" and can't add "As Guest" I have enabled guest in Teams Portal, guest share in Office 365... it dosen't change anything... When I go in the settings of office 365 -> Settings -> Services and Add-ins -> Microsoft Teams -> Settings by user/license type there is only : Buissness & entreprise (and not Guest like few videos or forum post) Anyone have the same problem ? Best regardsSolved3.5KViews1like8CommentsConversation data storage as a guest user
Just looking to confirm that this is correct... when a guest is provisioned in Microsoft Teams, there is some kind of user stub created (that the underlying consumer user doesn't know what this account is) and then behind the scenes the conversations/chat are stored in containers associated with the Group or Chat user in the host tenant? Then it's basically subject to that tenant's policies regarding retention policies? Secondary question, when you switch between different tenants in the teams client - does anything get logged in your home tenant regarding the swap over in the user's home tenant? Thanks!3KViews0likes6Comments
