When a client calls me on Skype for Business, I answer it on my PC, but the SFB app on my iPhone 7 keeps ringing and ringing. Why does it not recognise that I've answered the call. I get a lot of calls every day, and this is getting very annoying. Is this a known bug?6.4KViews5likes7CommentsSkype for Business - Translator
A long while back, it was announced that Skype and soon Skype for business was going to use Bing translator to enable translation real time. While the video would be nice my biggest want is just translation for the IM. We have a sister company in China and I would love to use skype for business to enable better communication. However when I tested it out internally it did not translate the Chinese. Has this been scrapped or do I need to enable it somewhere?11KViews4likes6CommentsMPOP and Auto Accept Feature for Skype for Business Application
Always there has been a lot of confusion wherein we have the users signed-in to MPOP (Multiple Point of Presence) where would the IM Messages go and where would the IM Messages be automatically accepted. So please find the below table below based on my research with Skype for Business Desktop Client and Skype for Business Mobile Device. This remains the same irrespective of the Mobile Devices. Desktop Client Mobile Client Preferred End Point Available Available Desktop Client Inactive Available Mobile Client Available Inactive Desktop Client Inactive Inactive Desktop Client Away Inactive Mobile Client Offline Inactive Mobile Client Additionally in case we are troubleshooting Lync or Skype for Business Mobile Feature issues we need to check if the Conversation History is not getting saved. We need to collect the following logging in the Skype for Business 2015 Server. The logs are as follows:- Components:- UCWA SIP Stack S4 Web Infrastructure Collaboration Level:- All Flags:- All In the MPOP Scenario from the logs we need to identify if the Invite is going to all the Mobile Device or the Desktop Client we can pull the information from the logs and differentiate using the port number. For the desktop client the Invite will always go on the Port Number 5088 and in case of MPOP the Invite gets Forked to both the desktop client and the Mobile Client as well. To confirm if the user account is logged into MPOP we can confirm the same from the above Skype for Business 2015 Server logs and we need to look for error SIP error 486 Busy Here coming from the desktop client. In case if we need to search it from the Desktop Client Logs we need to understand the same from the invite being sent to the user account during an IM Conversation . In the invite in the Via Route we would get the IP Address of the Front End Server and Term Branch with the value set as True. In case the value for Branch is True then it means that the user account is signed-in to the MPOP. Since we have the Auto Accept Feature in the Skype for Business 2015 Server and Exchange Server 2103 and above this also means that after 25 seconds the Skype for Business Application whether on Mobile Device or Desktop Client. This also means that the Push Notification Feature would not be required for Skype for Business Mobile Devices as the messages are getting auto accepted. Let’s take the most weird example: In case we have the User A signed in to both Skype for Business Desktop Client and Skype for Business Mobile Client with the latest update and the user being hosted on Skype for Business 2015 and Exchange 2013 or above. Now User B sends an IM message to User A and the user is not at his desk and also away from the Mobile Device. Now if the User B sent the IM to User A and before the IM gets Auto Accepted on the Mobile Device if the User A unlocks logs back into the Desktop system the IM Message would get accepted on the desktop client instead of the Mobile Device.4.6KViews2likes1CommentContinous Conversation / IM Roaming across devices
Why hasn't SfB provided the ability to continue conversations across multiple devices with chat/content history displayed. This seems like a no brainer and its apperently something that people have been asking for for years. https://www.skypefeedback.com/forums/299913-generally-available/suggestions/9769296-the-conversations-should-load-with-the-history-aut1.8KViews2likes2CommentsMissing functions on Skype for Business -Mac
I have recently switched from using the old Lync to new Skype client on the mac. Two functions that were the most used -- that I find myself getting ready to de-install Skype and re-install Lync: Only show "online" contacts. I have tons of contacts and team members - when I look at my Skype list (when I used the non-business client pre MSFT acquistion) I only want to see those that are online that I can send instant messages to. I do not see this feature anywhere. It makes the IM feature unusable - sure I can search for a person to see if they are on, but I just want to glance over and think "who's online that I can ask this question to".. and see only the online users. Only share desktop with another user. In Lync, I could right click on a user's name who is online and "share desktop". I didn't have to be in an audio or video "skype meeting". Often I'm IMing someone asking them questions -then just share desktop to show what is going on. Or... I'm already on another audio call with that person. I only see the option to share desktop when I'm in an audio/video or true skype meeting. I don't want a Skype meeting, I just want to share my darned desktop. That's pretty much the only 2 reasons I use corporate IM. Any options, or should I start making the team use gChat? Thanks.1.6KViews2likes0CommentsMissing Skype calls on mobile device
When my phone is active and I have the Skype app up, I can receive calls just fine. However, if my phone has been inactive for a period, and I'm not in the Skype app, then the Skype status changes to "Away" and I miss any incoming calls. I would expect to recieve Skype calls whether I'm activly in the Skype app or not. I've remove the app/reinstalled it, and get the same result. I've also tried it on multiple phones and OS's and get the same result. Phone: iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, and Samsun Galaxy S7 Software: iOS 10, and Android 6.0.11.4KViews2likes3CommentsSkype for Business (O365) "Exchange needs your credentials." every day at 4:30 PM EST
Skype for Business 2016 MSO 16.0.6925.1049 32-Bit Every day at 4:30 pm EST a yellow bar appears saying "Exchange needs your credentials. Until then you might see outdated info in Skype." If I do nothing, I can still send and receive messages with other users. When I log in the next morning, there are no errors and I do not have to re-enter anything. But at 4pm, it comes back. Anyone else experiencing this?2.3KViews2likes1CommentScreen Capture function in Skype for Business
I cannot seem to find the function control for screen capture in Skype for Business. My company is switching to Skype as our instant messaging program - so I'm still in a learning curve here. This is such a basic function that I'm sure it must be here, just cannot locate the control. Any pointers?Solved8.1KViews2likes3CommentsPresence of Srvice Application(SA) endpoint based on Trusted Application API is showing unknown.
