Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise
56 TopicsCompliance licenses at tenant level
Hi, We are a small organization of about 200 employees, and we have following requirements. DLP policies configuration at Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint BYOD security Users should not be able to send files outside the org And so on as we evaluate We already have M365 Business Premium. However, after researching we figured out that M365 Business premium will alone not solve our requirements. May be compliance license will. We want to apply security policies at tenant level in our organization but definitely do not want every user to get licenses as this will be expensive for us and there is no requirement at all for our users. The question is, Is there a way to solve the above scenario?51Views0likes2CommentsHidden Group and Hidden Group Membership
Hi everyone! I have come across a requirement where the client would like to use an excel spreadsheet, a service account and application registration to manage group membership for a confidential group. They would like to create a group from which the members cannot leave, see other team members and cannot see the group itself. Now, I have the concept of the flow with me but for the life of me, I cannot get around to finding/configuring a group that meets the requirement. Have you guys come across this sort of scenario? Group Configuration: Users should not be able to view the group Users should not be able to view members of the group Users should not be able to leave the group Thanks in advance.55Views0likes2CommentsWhat happened to Microsoft Support?
The level of support for M365 that we are receiving from "Microsoft branded" support teams keep getting worse and worse (we didn't think that it was possible, but here we are). The classic "we tried calling you but couldn't reach you" is back. You open a support case, sit in front of the phone waiting for the call just to receive an email stating that "we tried but you couldn't be reached". When you reply that you are sitting in front of the phone and you didn't miss any calls, the support engineer will call you back and successfully "reach you". Not replying to emails (including those sent to "Team Managers"), sending email with 2 mins before the end of the engineer's shift so there is only 1 email per day or closing cases with issues still being open is now the norm with MS Support. Support cases that drag on for weeks with no resolution, "can you please change this setting and try again", "we are still reviewing the logs" or my favourite "it's been 2 weeks, is the issue still occurring?" emails are extremely frustrating. The difference in support a company receives is very obvious between a multi-million-dollar support agreement and partner/SMB support. I understand that MS may not want to spend time, money and effort on companies that don't buy support agreements outside of those that come with the product, but if you already offer support then at least make it somewhat useful. The most frustrating part is being stuck with this level of support and having no other options. Most escalation emails to cc'd managers result in "do the needful" emails back to the engineer or go unanswered. The only way to combat this issue is to open multiple identical support cases in hopes that 1 out of the 3 engineers will be able to help you.242Views1like3CommentsOffice.js preview features release
Office.js for PowerPoint has had a couple of preview features (getImageAsBase64, getSlideAsBase64) in preview now for nearly a year. I've done my best to search for any updates from the office.js on release timeline for these features with no luck. These two API calls are super convenient and enable features in the add-ins for PowerPoint which is near impossible to create using alternative solutions. Anyone out there with any knowledge on when we can expect these beta/preview features to be production ready?19Views2likes0CommentsStrange typographical change in Outlook365 -- how to revert?
Hi, Yesterday when I was about to reply to an email sent to me, suddenly the display of email messages in my Outlook365 desktop client became weird. See the attached picture. I don't know why this is, and what kind of "feature" this is, and how to reverse this. Can somebody provide guidance and help me? This problem is seen in the Desktop Outlook365 classic client for Windows (not the "new" Outlook365 client). I don't know the exact version numbers etc; M$ has made it very difficult to find such on the application itself. By the applications listed in the software/add install control panel, I think this is Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise, build 16.0.17928.20216. OS: Windows 11. Just FYI, that problem did NOT appear in the Outlook web client. The same draft would have looked fine. Hi All, We would like to setup Microsoft Loop so that reminders are sent to people assigned tasks in loop one or two days, etc....before task due date. Either by syncing to Planner * which does not happen* automatically despite some online sources. Or though Power Automate... Any Ideas?153Views0likes6CommentsTeams Client, Guest User access, Separate Tenant
Hey Team, I am trying to figure out what i am missing here. This is what we have. 2x Tenants with Enterprise E3 licenses Some user accounts are sync'd between the 2 tenants, not all users We have added a guest user, and we need his account to be able to access our Tenants teams. When he goes to the Teams Web Client, he sees his org and ours. However in the teams fat client, he is not able to switch from his home tenant (tenant.com) to our tenant (tenant-business.com). My question is how do i get our tenant to show up in his teams client? I tried having him login using his #EXT# guest account, but it requires a password. Thanks, Robert84Views1like1Commentnative Linux apps?
All major players provide their software for Linux as well (deb and rpm packages), except for apple and Microsoft. apple doesn't like playing nice with others, but I wonder how comes that Microsoft is so reluctant here? I had a chance to try outlook (native) on MacOS today. It is so much better than the web app. I'd love to have that on my Linux desktop.103Views1like1CommentIn-Place Archive not appearing in Apple iPad
