New Teams client
9 TopicsImages in Adaptive Cards in New Teams Client not showing
Hello Community, I've encountered an issue with Teams Webhook Connector where images in Adaptive Cards are not displaying correctly in the New Teams Client, although they work as expected in the classic version. Our clients have reported that while messages are visible, the images fail to appear. This problem does not occur in the classic Teams client or when viewed in a browser, which I presume is utilizing the classic client as well. To clarify, I'm using the latest Adaptive Cards version (v1.5) compatible with Teams, and this issue is consistent across both Windows and Apple versions of the New Teams Client. Unfortunately, there seems to be no information available about this compatibility issue in the Adaptive Cards documentation or designer tool. Below is a simple Adaptive Card JSON that illustrates the problem: { "type": "AdaptiveCard", "body": [ { "type": "TextBlock", "size": "Medium", "weight": "Bolder", "text": "This is a headline" }, { "type": "Image", "url": "https://img.cdn-pictorem.com/uploads/collection/D/DN4DFF8JRC/900_Nature-Art_colorful--paintings.jpg", "width": "300px" } ], "$schema": "http://adaptivecards.io/schemas/adaptive-card.json", "version": "1.5" } For visual reference, here is how the card renders in both clients: Classic Teams Client: New Teams Client: I have not found a workaround yet and would greatly appreciate guidance on how to resolve this issue. Any suggestions or updates regarding the new client's support for Adaptive Cards would be very helpful. Thank you. Best regards14KViews1like42CommentsViva Connections Icon
Hi - there seems to be an issue in "New Teams" where the Viva Connections Icon is not properly rendered in the desktop client. The web client and current/legacy client show the icon correctly. Here is an example (in this organisation, Viva Connections is called "Grand Central"). Please can you get this fixed?New Teams 2.1 Client Hits General Availability
On October 5, 2023, Microsoft announced the general availability of the new Teams 2.1 client. Based on a new architecture and promising better performance and lower system resource usage, Teams 2.1 is available for Windows and macOS desktops and browsers. The signs are good as the client has been in public preview since March, but we'll only really know how successful the client is after several months of use. https://practical365.com/teams-2-1-client/7.9KViews0likes0CommentsTeams 2.0 Do not disturb banner comes back at every start
Hello guys, I have made the jump to 2.0 just before our whole company makes that leap too. I want to check all the issues that might arise before we officially update to 2.0. One thing that is annoying right now is this banner : "Windows recently set you to Do not disturb. You might have missed some notifications. Make sure to go to Windows settings to check your Do not disturb preferences." This banner comes when you have set your windows to do not disturb mode. Despite that, I have my windows notification setting set to "Priority Only" and I have added Teams to the allow list. So, I get notifications from Teams. But the current version of Teams, doesn't seem to have this context. So at every start of teams, I get this banner. There should be an option to hide this or ignore it permanently. My device info : Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.3324 Microsoft Teams version 23217.805.2326.4563 Client version is 49/23080601414 Thanks for the help. Cheers ThomasCast feature in Teams Public Preview missing
I have noticed that the new (public preview) Windows Teams client does not have the "Cast" button in the ... (three dots) menu up the top. This button is used for wirelessly projecting content to a Teams Room when not in a Teams meeting. Has this button been moved, or is it being removed from the Teams client completely? Or perhaps just not yet implemented in the Public Preview.SolvedExplicit recording consent not working in the new Teams app
We have enabled explicit recording consent in our tenant: New Policy Controls Explicit Consent for Teams Recordings (office365itpros.com This works fine in the "old" Teams client, but anyone using the new Teams app cannot enable their microphone when recording is activated, and hence not consent and participate in meetings. Anyone got this to work in the new Teams app?1.8KViews0likes2CommentsTaskbar Inaccessible when Teams Preview windows is maximised.
Hello all, Bit of a weird issue that we are experiencing when previewing the new Teams client - when the window is full screened, we cannot access the taskbar when it is configured to auto-hide. Pressing the start button pops the taskbar up but moving my cursor to the bottom of the application doesn't do anything. Does anyone else have this issue? This issue is also apparent in the Windows Terminal Preview.guest in own tenant
