Hello, We have a sip-domain "contoso.com" on-premise and our students have "students.contoso.com" sip-domain located in SfB Online only. Just tried to setup Skype For Business On-premise 2015 to a hybrid with Office365. Everything worked except federation/presence status from cloud domain (students.contoso.com) to on-premise domain. After I ran a debug I encountered this error: "ms-diagnostics: 1017; reason="Cannot route From and To domains in this combination"; summary="Domain type analysis indicates that the ms-split-domain-info header in the message is the wrong type”" Which pointed me to the MS article here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/skypeforbusiness/troubleshoot/hybrid-im-presence/sfb-online-users-cant-im So my question to you guys, to get this working from what I understand I need to take "students.contoso.com" in public facing certificates on my on-premise edge and I also need to point federation DNS records to this domain on-premise. But what about other DNS records? Should this domain be a part of my topology? How much work do I need to do internal with simple urls, dns, certificates and so on. All our users in this domain will still contain Online. I struggled to find this scenario exactly online. Added and verified a second domain in O365. We have an on-prem AD with same suffix of said domain. No skype-on prem -- we just sync via Azure AD Connect to O365. Updated a user's UPN, mail attribute and primary SMTP to the user.name@newdomain.com address. Syncs to O365 just fine. Outlook, OneDrive, etc. all update fine. Skype For Business however, doesn't like it. Even 24 hours later. Apparently we can sign in with @newdomain.com in the "sign-in address" field, but have to put the @olddomain.com in the "user name" field in order to sign-in. It's been about 30 hours since the change I've no idea why it would take this long if it is a syncing issue in O365. It's not a Skype for Business client issue. How can we update the SIP address for users in a Lync Server 2013 / Skype for Business hybrid scenario? When I go to the Lync Server 2013 control panel and look up the user, I cannot edit the SIP Address. What is the supported method for updating the SIP address? PowerShell? ADSI edit? Wanted to ask if its possible on O365 to hide users from Skype for Business Online on the resources that appear in address book / GAL search. Why would I want to hide users? Perhaps you have members of the organisation that you don’t want contacted by everybody else. Say if you have a strict communications policy that the CEO shouldn’t be directly contactable, you could hide them from appearing in the address book. Hi, I am planning a migration from my current domain to a new one where the users will be migrated from the current domain then synchronized withe Azure AD Connect. I have an existing Skype for Business Server 2015 on-premises and an Office 365 tenant with some test users that I migrated and applied E3 licences. The goal is to retrieve users SfB contacts once they start using Skype for Business online (O365), if possible avoiding having to add them manually one by one. Is there a way to "export a csv" of one's contactsl list then import it to another account on Skype for Business online ? In Skype for Business online call queue what I observe is if any member/agent is on call; it will still ring his/her number when there is a new call in the queue. Hi, I would like to ask you for help with explanation of usage report in O365 admin center. I would like to know what it means: Peer-to-peer activity - means when users use just chat (1:1, M:N)? Conference organizer activity - means only number of people who organizes meetings (e.g. via Outlook)? Anyone else is not included in this number? Conference participants activity - means only number of people who join meetings (e.g. via link in meeting invitation)? Organizer are excluded? Participants are also external people? PSTN - what is included in this report? What means in conference reports: Application sharing - desktop sharing, browser sharing and so on? Dial-in/out - 3rd party - what it means? Dial-in/out Microsoft - what it means? Is included also external communication in reports (chat, meetings)? For example if I have external in my S4B contacts? Hey Guys, I am getting ready to take my 70-347 exam and despite the tremendous amounts of studying i have been doing... The one area where i am pretty confused is on creating various policies. Like for instance this documentation here says that if you want to create a new CS-Client Policy, you need to reach out to office 365 support? https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/lyncserver/identities-scopes-and-tenants-in-skype-for-business-online Per-user policies must be created for you by Office 365 Support. After the policies are created, you can then assign them to users by using the appropriate Grant-Cs cmdlet (for example, Grant-CsExternalAccessPolicy). Per-user policies are easy to identify because the policy Identity always begins with the tag prefix. For example: Is that true, do you need to have O365 support create Conferencing Policies, User Policies, External Access Policies? I realize you can use the Grant-* Command to set the policy for a user, or the Set-* command to modify existing policies but i cant find any clear documentation that explains whether or not you need to have office 365 support create the policies.
