Hi Microsoft dev community, I insist implementing functionality to take snapshot/restore actual hard drive system restore restores pc back in time in case of issues but not as user friendly as any virtualization software like vmware Just as virtualization software there can be a more advanced version of system restore application where there will be UI for: 1. taking snapshot of current state 2. option to list snapshots 3. restore any snapshot back in time Maybe based on Hyper-V, Maybe this feature already there but I have not found it originally posted here: https://superuser.com/q/1855140/86839192Views0likes0CommentsDigital event: The Future of VMware Is in Azure – July 16th, 2024

Hello, Working on VDI, I want to share my system audio while I'm screen sharing in a meeting and there is no option for this. On my local computer, I can see the option to share system audio as well. I read that for this to happen, your computer audio hardware name must be the selected also in Teams. When we are talking about VDIs, this is not a possible option. You will see something like "Speakers(VMware Virtual Audio(DevTap))" Anyone has the same issue and/or has an resolution? Thank youSolved6.6KViews1like4CommentsWindows 11 Enterprise OS developer VMs by Microsoft when new VMs released

It’s funny to think there was such a pushback on virtualization when it first came out versus being the norm for most of us now. As a VMware admin myself, I remember all the discussion with application teams trying to convince them we could run their application on a virtual machine. Informing people that a vMotion would not impact the uptime and could potentially optimize performance on another ESXi host with more resources free, or how HA (High Availability) being built in results in a simple reboot with minimal downtime to the virtual machine and application.7.8KViews0likes6CommentsWindows Server Standard 2012 R2 virtualized on VMware vSphere Essential Plus Kit.

Hi everyone, I'm having some issues with using a terminal server that I've setup inside of Server 2019. We currently have a company with about 30-40 employees that use a VPN and remote desktop into a server that is virtually hosted (VMware) on a local server. Almost every week employees start getting stuck on the logon screen or just have a black screen and can't get into the server. I can see that they are logged in and there are no resource issues. I can log on through the VMware remote console just fine when everyone else is having issues. When this issue arises it seems to affect everyone who logs in after that but not the ones who were already in. I've tried manually booting the ones having issues, but it never fixes it. I end up doing a reboot on the server, which sometimes fixes the issue but sometimes I have to do 2-3 reboots before everyone can get back in properly. Then the server will run normally for a week or so before the same issue comes back. There is no errors in the event log as far as I can tell. Please let me know at least a direction I can look into, or what information is needed for more troubleshooting. Thanks in advanced, Devon LaVoy Systems Administrator998Views0likes0Comments
