I schedule many videoconferences with people outside my organization (some of them repeated) and the way I do it now is to create a Teams meeting link from my Outlook invitation and then send this to the meeting invitees. I would prefer to create a permanent link that I can always give to people, for example, in an email message, without having to generate a new Teams meeting each time in Outlook. I considered simply reusing the same link from a previous meeting for subsequent meetings, but it seems that each Teams meeting creates its own space in Teams. So, it seems that people I meet with later would be able to see the names of those whom I met with earlier using the same link, as well as any conversations I might have had with them. So, I don't think this is what I want--I want a link that gives meeting attendees access to only the present, live meeting, with no access to past exchanges using the same link. This is important to respect the privacy of each meeting. I initially posted this as a help question to Microsoft Teams support, but they said that it is not an existing feature. If this is not currently a feature, could anyone here possibly suggest a workaround that would let me use the same permanent link for all my videoconferences (e.g. with a short URL), but that preserves the privacy of attendees across different meetings using that same link? This is similar to what many videoconferencing services (e.g. Zoom and Whereby) offer.Solved248KViews23likes32CommentsCropping my video during calls
Hello is there a way to manually crop the my video so that not everything behind me is visible. Effectively zooming in on my face. My camera has a pretty wide area of view and I would prefer to cut some out. Skype had the functionality so I hope it comes to teams. Is this a planned enhancement at some point in the near future?34KViews2likes2CommentsUploading and playing videos in SharePoint modern sites
I searched a lot of threads an they were either ~2 years old or talked about using Stream/O365 Video. On our new Modern site, I uploaded three MP4 videos to a both a SharePoint Asset Library and Video library (activated video and rich media feature). I am trying to find the embed code so I can embed the video on our home page, but I don't seem to be able to find it. Is there a way to upload MP4 videos to Modern SharePoint site and then embed them into web page? I can only get link and when I add the link, it doesn't look nice vs. embedded videos Also, does anybody know if SharePoint online modern sites' 'support MP4 videos? I imagine hundreds of users may watch this video at a time. We don't want to use Stream as it prompts the users to log in thoughts?Solved34KViews0likes9CommentsMicrosoft teams not working with OBS virtual camera 23/2/2021
Recently I downloaded OBS to enable me to switch between multiple camera angles, and I have managed to get all of the inputs set up. Everything works fine with other programs such as zoom, google meet and skype but not teams. I can set the camera input to obs virtual cam, and on the preview screen everything is fine, but the other people in the meeting cannot see anything and it looks like my camera is off. Is there a solution to this problem? (I am running up to date software on a new 2020 Macbook Pro, with the latest versions of MacOS, Teams and OBS)31KViews0likes2CommentsSpreadsheets in Space just became more powerful with a new API in Microsoft Excel

I tried it on this video that has captions available on YouTube and is in English, but it didn't work, so I'm not sure how and where it will appear, maybe not fully implemented in this build yet and will become usable in the future build. I'm also not sure whether this means Edge will just take the caption from a video like in YouTube and show it over the PiP, Or, it actually translates the voice of the video into captions and shows it to user which would be totally awesome (using speech to text capabilities). This is on Microsoft Edge Version 91.0.836.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) you need to enable these flags to get Global Media controls and PiP in them edge://flags/#global-media-controls edge://flags/#global-media-controls-picture-in-picture also if you don't have Live Captions feature, it's probably due to CFR28KViews2likes7Comments
