format
5 TopicsNon-breaking spaces by default
Hi everyone, I got a user who found that her print preview was weirdly formatted and after a bit of research I found that she had non-breaking space characters instead of regular spaces in her mails. The issue is that it seems to be a kind of "by default" behavior for her when composing a new mail since she did not do that on purpose (by inputting the related key combination). The only workaround I found at the moment is telling her to copy and paste with "text-only" option to have regular spaces inserted instead of non-breaking ones. Does anyone know how this can be fixed ? Important note : macros are disabled by default in my organization so I can't craft some weird VBA script to fix this (and yes I tried since I am running out of ideas).Solved77Views0likes6CommentsIs it possible for Edge to play HEVC (H265) MKV files ?
I'm wondering, is it possible for Edge to play HEVC (H265) MKV files ? the reason is I watch lots of movies online and they are in HVEC (H.265) format, sometimes in MKV and sometimes in MP4, Edge can't play them so I have to either use VLC or Windows media player to play the video stream. it would be awesome if Edge supported this so i could just open the file in the browser without the need for 3rd party programs.Solved19KViews0likes5CommentsFormat QuickPart as Currency
Hi, I am currently passing a currency value from Sharepoint to a word document through quick parts. The value is a currency everywhere except for on the document. I found this on web https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/de2272f1-0c03-43a4-8bc9-78917cc5992d/format-quick-part-document-property-received-from-sharepoint but its from 12 years ago. I used ctrl-F9 to insert a pair of field code braces { } and then { QUOTE "[QuickPart]" \#$,0.00 }. Does anyone have any suggestions? I really don't want to store the number as text in sharepoint for analytics reasons but the user I'm building it for really needs it displayed correctly on the document.973Views0likes5CommentsYet Another Conditional Formatting Query
Hey folks, I have an SP list with 3 relevant columns - IssueDate, ReviewFrequency, and NextReview. IssueDate is for manual date entry, ReviewFrequency is a choice of N/A, 3, 6, 12, 24, 36. NextReview is a calculated column that adds number value in ReviewFrequency to IssueDate. I have applied JSON formatting in Format View to format rows where NextReview is less than today (@now) in sp-field-severity--severeWarning, rows where next review is due within 30 days (2592000000ms) in sp-field-severity--Warning, and all other rows in alternating sp-css-backgroundColor-BgLightGray30 and sp-css-backgroundColor-noFill (giving zebra alternate banding). All works well apart from an issue with dates being read by conditional formatting as MM-dd-yyyy not dd-MM-yyyy as illustrated here: How do i ensure dates in the columns are seen / interpreted as dd-MM-yyyy in the conditional formatting rules?
