iOS 14
6 TopicsAllowing Users to Remove/Uninstall Available iOS Apps
Hi All, Quick query. I have been creating a Fully Managed/ Supervised iOS build. Quite successfully, much smoother build than prior to iOS 14.x. But there is one thing I am trying to do but not even sure it is possible as yet. I have most of the M365 Apps as Required for the iOS devices. and there are a number of Available apps on offer too. The one thing that is totally different (or appears to be ) is that if an Android user installs an app available from the Corporate Android Play Store, they can uninstall it if they find they no longer require it, or for any other other reason. However, on iOS devices if a user installs an app from the Company Portal (VPP) then once it is installed there is no 'local' option to Uninstall or Remove it. In the image, Fig 1 is a personal registered iPhone 7 as you can see the BBC News app, when long pressed gives you the option to Remove App. Where in Fig 2 is a Corporate Managed/Supervised iPhone 7, the option Remove App is not available. I have gone through the Restriction and Features Configuration Profiles and enabled or disabled the obvious; but no joy. Obviously I can create uninstall groups for each app and then add users to these groups when they need something uninstalled, but that is a major overhead and I have not included that in the cost model going forward. Any ideas?5.5KViews1like3CommentsOneDrive for iOS / iPadOS 14 quits on launch
The latest version of OneDrive 13.2.3 for iOS/iPadOS quits on launch. We have a customer with a large amount of devices running iOS 14.x.x for compatibility reasons. Any idea how this can be escalated to the iOS/iPadOS support team? 🙂1KViews0likes1CommentPower Automate buttons NOT showing on iOS 14 widget + Power Automate buttons are painfully slow
Hello, I hope I landed on the right spot, otherwise please forgive me. I have 2 issues on my iPhone 11 Max Pro and iPad Pro (2018), running iOS 14.3 and newest version of Power Automate. Issue no 1: On my widgets area I there are no "Buttons" (not on iPad nor iPhone) Issue no. 2: Running a Power Automate "Button" within the "Buttons" is PAINFULLY slow! Issue no. 1: Even though I have multiple apps under "Buttons", on my widget screen nothing appears. Please take a look at the 2 screenshots. What I have done: Imported an app from the Flows -> Create from template -> Button (just to be sure) into my app, and then looked for it under the iOS widgets. Created a flow myself, and placed under "Button", to see if it would appear under the iOS widgets. Logged off and on Tested on iPad - same result Deleted the app, downloaded it again. No results.... Issue no 2: When ever I run a flow from "Button" on my iPhone, it's taking 30 - 40 seconds before I can toggle/push the interface and see it responding. What I have done: Tried to run the same app from a browser (Edge on my PC), works like a charm. Tested on my iPad - same result as iPhone ANY help is very much appreciated. Hello! We have 2 iPhone 12 that are having issues downloading the latest iOS 14.2.1 through Settings - Software Update. We just get an error message stating: "An error occured when iOS 14.2.1 was being downloaded". We tried restarting the devices, using other Wi-Fi and using mobile data. We successfully updated one of the devices through iTunes.. is this a known error for iOS 14.2.1? I think that it might be related to this update just being released for iPhone 12 models.6.4KViews3likes9CommentsiPhone with ios 14. Can't connect to server.
Hello, In June, I could use my Skype for Business account on my iPhone to make calls via my work phone number. Now, I get an error message "Can't connect to server". I have tried turning off the Auto-Detect Server and inputting https://webdir.online.lync.com/Autodiscover/autodiscoverservice.svc/Root as both internal & external discovery address and have reset the network settings on the iPhone. I have also uninstalled and re-installed the app. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Cheryl752Views0likes0Comments
