I have been running Teams client on my Mac for over a year now, through various updates and versions both of the Teams client and of MacOS. I'm currently on MacOS 10.14.6 and Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.4460. What I see regularly is that the main Teams window just stops being accessible. Usually I have it running all the time in the regular display mode - not full screen - and can alt-tab switch between Teams and other apps as normal. Then, after a while, I suddenly find that when I alt-tab to Teams, the app window no longer appears. The menubar shows the Teams menu, and I can go through the menu OK, but most options have no effect. 'About Microsoft Teams' does nothing. Window > Bring All to Front does nothing. Window > Minimize does nothing, etc. The Help options mostly work, but that's about all. The only solution is to Quit Microsoft Teams and restart the app. It's a real pain. I frequently end up missing messages because of this. Has anyone else encountered this issue?20KViews10likes46CommentsMicrosoft To-Do for Mac is here!

Hi, is anyone currently experiencing issues with all MS Office 365 apps (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, Word) in the way that they close all at once, randomly, and you are probably losing work due to the unexpected shutdown. I got a new MacBook Pro with M3 Max with Sonoma 14.5 recently, and after using it for a few hours, it seems that sporadically, all O365 apps mentioned above that are open at the moment are closing all at once, randomly, without any error message, without any prior notice or any user interaction. ALL other applications except Office are working fine, also OneDrive and MS Teams stay open without any issues. After using the MacBook for a few days, it seems that it's maybe more likely to happen when the Mac is going to standby / lid closed and is woken up afterwards? Steps I already tried without any change of the behavior, each also including a complete reboot of the machine, in the following order. Updating Office with the MS AutoUpdater application Simple uninstall of MS Office applications Reinstallation by using a clean new O365 download Manual uninstallation using https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/uninstall-office-for-mac-eefa1199-5b58-43af-8a3d-b73dc1a8cae3 Clean reinstallation after complete manual uninstallation After uninstalling again, I tried to install it manually with deselection of the MS Defender which is included in the O365 installer package (Defender is already installed by default on the Mac). Renaming the MacBooks hostname from XXX-MBP-ABC123DEF to XXXMBPABC123DEF and renaming the SSD name from Macintosh HD to MacintoshHD. Complete wipe of the MacBook with my IT department and reinstall / setup of the machine, followed by starting auto updater and updating everything to the latest version. None of these steps is working, and Office keeps shutting down / crashing without any prior notice at random times, most likely after a sleep. It is enough to just open up some office applications and leave the Mac alone, after return you will find the Mac with all office applications closed (except Teams and Onedrive as mentioned above). Furthermore, I already set the network availability during sleep within my energy saving settings: Wake for network access from "Only on Power adapter" to "Always" Does anyone have any further ideas for analysis or a solution? On my private MBP with M1 Pro and Sonoma 14.5 there are no issues at all. Thank you!!!Solved26KViews5likes96CommentsNew Update Experience for Mac available in Edge Beta / Dev / Canary
Getting updates timely and smoothly is key to keeping web browsers secure. It also helps you try new experiences sooner on a fast-moving browser like Microsoft Edge. Since Microsoft Edge launched on MacOS, we have heard your feedback on the update experience on Mac devices, specifically: Having to update through Microsoft AutoUpdate can be confusing, especially since it typically is used to update the Office suite applications. edge://settings/help was not always consistent with Microsoft AutoUpdate in showing update availability Update experience was not rapid: when you close and then reopen your browser when a new update is available, you will need to wait until the update is applied before browser restarts. We are now excited to announce an improved update experience on Mac to address your feedback, making updating faster and smoother. This experience is currently rolled out to Mac users (both Intel and M1 users) on Beta versions higher than 93.0.961.11, Dev versions higher than 91.0.852.0 or Canary versions higher than 90.0.816.0 behind a feature flag. Here are some highlights of the new experience: The new update experience is now Edge-native. It will solely be responsible for updating Edge-related products and will not be affected (e.g. blocked) by other pending product updates. Updates will happen automatically and silently, and no out-of-Edge notifications/toasts will be shown. Update sizes are now reduced by as much as 80% on average! This speeds up updates by over two thirds! edge://settings/help now more consistently reflects update status and allows seamless updates. In-app update notifications are promptly reflected when an update becomes available. When you restart the browser when an update is available, your browser will now instantly relaunch with the updated version rather than wait for update to be applied. As always, please do not hesitate to send any feedback on the update experience our way so that we can make your experience better! You can do so by selecting the "send feedback" button or going to … menu -> Help and Feedback -> send feedback.32KViews5likes43CommentsAppointments in Bookings are no longer synchronized with Apple Calendar
