I'd love to see a new desktop icon/folder feature. Adding a specific type of New Folder that will only be displayed on your main/primary display desktop. The folder would always be visible on the main display and contain the icons that show up on all external monitors that are not flagged as the main display. That way, when a laptop isn't connected to an external monitor, those sets of icons are quickly accessible via the special desktop folder on your main display. You would no longer have a flood of icons when using only the laptop and when docked you have them at their normal positions.305Views0likes0CommentsNew feature - Selecting text will directly give an option to search on web
This feature is seen from Microsoft Edge (Canary) version 86.0.570.0 As the title says, there is a new feature added in Microsoft Edge in which when you select the text, you will get an option to search the web and when you will click that option, a new tab will be opened and that selected text will be searched. This feature currently works on bing.com but I think it would be added to all websites in the future and also can be improved a lot. Keep developing the new great features for Microsoft Edge2.1KViews3likes3CommentsFeature Request : Mouse Gesture feature.
I searched everywhere in Edge settings to find the Gesture feature but didn't find a clue. But browsers like Opera does have a feature call "mouse gesture" and it is amazing. I know Edge have bunch of third party extensions to do the same thing. But I don't like to use third party extensions because of some privacy issues. So it there any chance that Edge will give this feature in near future or we have to use third party extenstion forever...? I believe it was sometime last week when I first noticed the little, black "watch now" playlist located on the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. *(hint: it has a turquoise 'screen' showing a 'play' icon.) At first, I wasn't sure what to make of it because it had disappeared after I attempted to use it, and- for the life of me- I could NOT find it after the initial use. That is until I started today's (Dec. 31, 2020) "daily set." Is this/ will this be something we can look forward to? This playlist is SUPER handy. I only wish it was as easy to find (again) as it is to use!Solved2.5KViews1like14CommentsA Bing! 'WHOLE recipe calorie counter' IDEA
So! I use the Bing search for MANY things. In particular, one is for converting measurements (in. to cm.; cups to oz.; etc.). I have even found (thanks in part to Bing's- believe it or not- "This or That") a 'calorie counter' for INDIVIDUAL ingredients. Because of this, a thought dawned on me on how we could take 'this' idea a step further... what if there were a way to find the TOTAL calorie intake for recipes that we add to the/ a queue? For example: I use an (unknown weight of) onion, a pinch of salt, just enough vinegar to cover half the onions, and 1.5 Tbs of sugar to make pickled onions. Instead of looking up EACH ingredient on its own, would there/ is there a way to add these items into a calculator so that it becomes easier to know the caloric count?1.4KViews2likes3Comments
