Planner Constraints in GCC frustrating (e.g., inability to convert basic plans to premium plans)
We have a GCC client that is growing frustrated by the constraints they continue to encounter with their Planner and Project Plan 3 licensing. Converting basic plans into premium plans isn't available for customers working from a GCC environment Task history is currently not available for customers in GCC There are limited GCC/Planner items found in the roadmap. Can anyone direct me to any sort of update or forecast on functions such as these withing GCC?
Active linking between the same tasks in multiple planners
I am working in an educational setting, where content area departments each have their own planner to coordinate their work. Then the district administration has there own planner to coordinate programs and funding streams. There is a lot of overlap between to 2 sets of planners and I often have to manually update tasks between them. It would be really nice to be able to link tasks between planners so that if a task is copied from one planner to another, any changes made in one planner would automatically update in both planners.
Add member to a checklist
Were looking for projekt app and looking both at planner and Trello. We are missing the possiblity to add member for different checkpoints. My colleages will take Trello if this is not on the roadmapp spring 2024. Is there anybody who know anything about why this never have been implementated i planner???? Using the graph api we are able to get tasks from a premium plan (new Planner). However, that's about it. We are not able to make any updates to a task from a premium plan. My question is when can we expect to get access to a graph API that will allow us to fully integrate to the New Planner. Thank youBackup & Recovery of Planner
We have many staff using Planner (largely in Teams) for project management - it's a great tool! However, we can't find any way to back up or restore a Planner without use of a 3rd party backup/recovery tool. Can anyone offer current thoughts/suggestions on the best way to assure solid backup/recovery options for Planner?
Ability to tag people within planner
I've noticed discussions asking for this feature dating back years, but I haven't seen any responses from Microsoft. It seems a basic feature for any project management tool. Tagging and/or assigning checklist items (or having subtasks), and the ability to tag in the comments, are such basic features of any PM tool. Planner is an interactive to-do list, it's not useful for PM. Deleted
Locking Tasks / Turn off Completion Function
I am a federal grant manager. As part of this, we have large projects with compliance requirements at every turn. Currently, the Planner App works well for us. I can create Projects 'ARPA Medical Projects' and then break that down into buckets "Children's Hospital" "Mental Health Clinic" "Health School". From there, I break them down by life cycle - Pre Award, Award, Post Award, Compliance, Monitoring, Auditing, Closeout, etc. This works GREAT - except for one thing. Clicking on anything 'Completes' it, and it 'disappears' to the bottom. 1) I would like to LOCK or SHUT OFF the completion function 2) I would like to limit WHO can 'COMPLETE' the tasks. From an organization and ease function, NOTHING compares to the ease of this program. It is exactly what I need. I just DON'T want data disappearing, especially since an auditor needs to review it. If not here, then WHERE? What program should I be using to organized the compliance of these things?
