Good afternoon to everyone. My name is Leonardo Fonseca and I currently work as an administrator in a company located in Brazil. We are trying to find permission to allow the download of all files from my company's employees. Where can we find this option or police? Thanks.SharePoint Migration - Unable to Locate SharePoint URL
At present, there are over 500,000 videos that I need to transfer from Classic SharePoint to SharePoint Online. As a test migration, I am attempting to relocate several orphaned videos to the SP site at https://xxxxxxxx.sharepoint.com/sites/StreamVideos. However, when I initiate the Migration Tools and choose the Migration option, the videos display an orange triangle with an exclamation mark. Upon accessing the video settings to edit the destination and selecting SharePoint, the "Select a SharePoint site" option fails to find my SP Site, despite my being an administrator of the site. my SP Site. The site was created on Feb 2, 2024, I'm an Admin of the site, and able to access the site. Any ideas on how I can resolve the this issue? Thank You, -LarrySolvedPowerpoint 365 Keeps uploading to Classic Stream
Just quick question but we have disabled uploading for Stream Classic so manually no videos can be uploaded - that's great and it redirects to Stream SharePoint as intended BUT... PowerPoint 365 currently uploads to both Stream Classics and Stream Sharepoint and only emails the user about their videos on Classic. Any idea if there is a fix or something in the pipeline that will help move people across before we use the migration tool and disable classic altogether later in the year? This is to stop content being duplicated and speeding up the migration process in future so we can stop people linking to the classic content. Powerpoint has no option to choose destination I can see other than publish to stream. Thanks in advance! How to move videos from Microsoft Stream (Classic) manually
This article will focus on showing you how to manually move your videos from the Microsoft Stream (Classic) channels to OneDrive for Business, SharePoint, and/or Microsoft Teams today. As previously announced in October new Team Meeting Recordings will store OneDrive or SharePoint and customers can opt-out by running a this PowerShell Script. Starting July 2021 for all Microsoft 365 customers, all Teams Meetings recordings will now be automatically stored in OneDrive for Business or SharePoint. That will mean no new Teams Meeting recordings can be saved in Microsoft Stream (Classic). Having new Team Meetings recordings in ODSP has the benefits of allowing customers to utilize the various content management capabilities like setting sensitivity / retention polices on videos, making the permissions and sharing more consistent with the Microsoft suite, increased upload quotas for videos, making meeting recordings available faster, and enabling more benefits from the OneDrive for Business and SharePoint information governance that Microsoft Stream (Classic) does not currently offer. The Microsoft Stream product team understands that many customers have a good amount of content in Classic Stream. They are actively developing a migration process to help you in this video journey. Please follow the Stream roadmap at https://aka.ms/streamroadmapupdates for more features coming out for Microsoft Stream. Meanwhile this article describes the process of manually moving videos from Classic Stream to ODSP. Download Video from Stream To access Microsoft Stream, you can navigate to web.microsoftstream.com or in the Microsoft App Launcher click on the Stream Icon. Navigate to the video you would like to move to a new location by clicking on My Content. If the video was a meeting recording, click Meetings. Click the Edit Icon to navigate to the Video Settings. While in the Video setting, click the "Download Video" button to start the download process. Once the video is downloaded to your computer, then you can start working on uploading the file to OneDrive for Business / SharePoint / Microsoft Teams. Microsoft References to upload videos. The new Stream (on SharePoint) web part just hit my org's tenant. When you add the web part to the SharePoint page, there are several source options: Videos on this site, Folder, and Single Video. When you select Folder as the source and the Select Folder button, it gives you the option to select Your Organization, OneDrive, Site, and From sites. Here's the problem I'm running into: When you select From sites, it only allows you to see the Shared (Doc) Libraries you have accessed most recently and is limited to 12. If the Shared (Doc) Library you need is not shown, you have to: Stop editing the SharePoint page Navigate too and open the Shared (Doc) Library where the video file(s) live Wait a few minutes Go back to the SharePoint page you were editing and hope the Shared (Doc) Library shows up when you select From sites. The workaround "works" but it isn't a great experience for the end user. Is there any other way to get the ability to search for the Shared Library?3.3KViews3likes20CommentsI thought we'd be able to use Stream for playing videos on Teams meetings without lag but we can't?
From everything I've read, we should be able to host a video on SharePoint or OneDrive in order to share it in a teams meeting. It doesn't seem like this feature works. Stream isn't an app available in the apps list unless I use the one available in the chat window. If I select Microsoft Stream from the chat apps, it asks me to post a link to share with the meeting. When I input my video link from sharepoint, it gives the error "Please enter a valid Stream URL." It should be a valid URL. We've tested this numerous time with numerous settings, but even if we set it so that anyone with the link can view the video, it won't let us use the sharepoint link (from mysharepoint.com) to Stream on a Teams meeting. We can't watch videos by sharing our screens or windows because it lags too much. The only current solution we have is to use the YouTube app which seems to work better than the Microsoft ones. Is there a solution for this?2.6KViews0likes4CommentsUpload, strcuture new videoes in sharepoint for a large org.
We have migrated all Company Wide channel videos and created a shared SharePoint site for people to upload new videos so we have common sites where people can easily acsess and upload. However, we are a large organization with over 22,000 employees. Do you have recommendations on how we should structure this, how folders should be organized? We don't want to give everyone access to manage all the folders in that area, but they should be able to upload and view, so how can the functionality be similar to the old Stream, allowing for an easier way to publish a "public" video? Do you have any recommendations for this? Is there a another easier way?345Views0likes0CommentsCommenting on a Microsoft Stream video or audio file in SharePoint
SharePoint recently announced a new feature that allows you to have threaded conversations on a Stream video or audio file saved in OneDrive or SharePoint. This update provides a cohesive and familiar commenting experience like the one used in Lists, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. How do you think you will utilize this update? What are some best practices you have found with collaborating on a shared Microsoft Stream video file?
