This is a copy of https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/c6ed0cc0-7957-ed11-a81b-000d3a7e4185 (I wrote that post first, but now I found this forum, which is more appropriate I think, since I'm using OneDrive for Business) My employer ship Win11 with OneDrive pre-configured to backup my Desktop (and more) to OneDrive. For performance, and if I'm offline, I've selected that all files and folders I keep on the Desktop should always be available on my device. Now my desktop looks like crap! Every icon now has an annoying little green dot on them. This sync status information on the icons is not important to me. In fact, it just bothers me. I already know all of the files/folders are always available on my machine. I don't need/want this visual reminder. I'm requesting a new option in the OneDrive settings, where I can configure OneDrive to not add the green check mark (nor the white cloud) to icons. For example, you could add: (*) Show the current sync status as a small badge on top of the icon ( ) Do not show the sync status as a badge on the icon ( ) Do not show the green badge on icons for always available files The first option is how it works today. In the second option, the user would like to opt out entirely from having OneDrive status-badges on top of icons. That is, completely stop OneDrive from messing with the icons. In the third option, only green badges are "muted", the rest work as normal. That is, files that don't have the always-available-on-device-attribute, will show the white little cloud badge, etc. But for files that are always-available, no green dot is added. PS: I'm only annoyed by the ugly badges on top of my icons. When I browse my files/folders in Explorer, then I'm totally fine with the Status column, indicating the sync status as per usual. This column should remain as-is.2.8KViews0likes2CommentsPurview Connector Status
I have set up an Instant Bloomberg connector in Microsoft Purview. Data is now flowing daily from Bloomberg to Microsoft Purview. How can I retreive the status of the connector? My prefered option would be to have a a PowerShell script to extract the "Connection status with source", the "last import at" and the latest log. And if that PS script cannot be done, an email sent by Purview with about the same info would work.47Views0likes0CommentsBypassing the member approval when added to a service
Hi is there any way to bypass the approval that a member has to click when they are added to a service? Unless they approve their addition to the service I see Not bookable Pending for approval and they do not see the event unless they approve it. vs thanks in advance19Views0likes0CommentsChange status to DND if user is "in a meeting"
I work in a company with highly confidential documents and materials. Therefore the protection of this IP is pretty important. Since IP can be exposed with the Teams pop-ups, these are pretty problematic in our situation. This is not an issue if you present something in virtual Teams meetings (because you automatically get the DND status if you share anything), but since there are a lot of meetings already happening again in physical form and there were a couple of incidents (people mirroring their screen on a TV/beamer, being "only" busy - in a meeting and they got some interesting messages as pop-ups in the middle of the meeting), which lead to the inquiry of the security manager to disable pop-ups from Teams alltogether. Since I cannot control the pop-ups itself, I would be able to set the status of the users right? And the least invasive method would be to use the calender status of the user to use it as an indicator if he's in a meeting or not. And if he's in a meeting I would be able to change the status to DND and not only busy, right? Any other ideas are highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.1.9KViews0likes3CommentsStatus "in a call"
When I'm about to call someone using teams, I always check wether they are in a call. If they are in a call, I wait to call them. To check wether someone is in a call, I mouseover the 'status-dot' next to their userpicture. It would be nice if the status-dot could be improved, so that I could see that someone is in a call without having to mouseover to see the info. For example by having a small phone icon next to the status-dot when their status is 'in a call'.3.1KViews0likes1CommentAllow custom availabiity status during booking
Please allow to customize status for booking, e.g. to allow to set status to "free" by default when booked. In some cases, this is preferable if bookings app is used for long-term bookings (e.g. several days in hot desks system) where setting "busy" status for the person (not service) interferes with calendar by showing person as busy for the whole day, where in reality that booking would not interfere with other, regular calendar bookings.464Views0likes0Commentscan't see person's status message (busy, in a meeting, in a call, etc.)
for several months, myself and other colleagues have not been able to see someone's status in the chat window. we can see if they are green, red, yellow but can't see their actual status message (in a meeting, in a call, busy). this is incredibly frustrating as we dont want to interrupt someone if they're in a meeting/call, but we can't see it until we actually message them. some people have workarounds (i am able to see their status message if i pop out the chat) but it seems like a lot of people are having this issue. anyone else?2.4KViews1like1CommentOnline status notifications appearing even with no names listed in status notification list
My co-worker (who is mega busy so I'm looking into it) suddenly started getting online status notifications in microsoft teams. She says there are no names listed under notifications > people for status notifications. I looked for this problem for a while but can't find anything. Anyone got an idea of what is happening?802Views0likes0Comments
