Hey together. Am i am the only one who has problems downloading beta policy files and other versions from the enterprise download portal? In the latest Dev channel build, clicking on the extension button in the toolbar you see the UI is all strange and only shows one of your extensions taking up the whole window. Edge extensions using managed storage are broken
Hey, any thoughts from the insider community about https://github.com/microsoft/MicrosoftEdge-Extensions/issues/179 - we're seeing Edge 130 breaking many enterprise extensions that rely on managed storage for provisioning. This is disasterous for us, leaving our users without the vital functionality we provide in the extension. We're trying to lead customers through the Edge version rollback procedure, but it's very messy and disruptive. Since updating to Version 129.0.2792.79 (Official build) (64-bit), selecting a link in email opens in two tabs of the browser. testing shows this is specific to this version. Please fix. Some context menu in the browser Favorites is inactive
Hi All! I'm a foreigner and beginner so sorry for my bad English. Windows 10 Pro x64 latest build, automatically updated. And native Edge also. Now its version is 129.0.2792.52. I always using context menu in its 'Favorites' in order to open links in new Tabs. But some days ago, I found out that 3 top strings in that menu (Open in a new tab, Open in a new window and Open in a new window InPrivate) are suddenly not active (not clickable). At the same time another string in that menu (Cut, Change, Rename, Copy link, Delete) still active. What's wrong and how to fix it? Edge 128.0.2739.42 crashes when user clicks on custom URI
We have a small custom app to allow us to open file links from our intranet site. We created a custom uri handler and it has been working up until Edge Version 128.0.2739.42 . With version 128 clicking the file links crashes all edge windows with no error messages in the event viewer. We can open the links in a new tab/window via right click or ctrl/shift clicks. This issue occurred with both Windows 10 and 11. Also crashes on Canary as of 8/26. Always open Favorites in a New Tab is totally gone now from Canary Version 130.0.2796.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) and has been for the last couple of updates. Even using the string "--enable-features=msFavoritesOpenInNewTabSetting" no longer adds the feature and no longer shows in the right click menu. Anyone else find this feature gone? The latest stable version of Edge seems to have broken the new tab homepage for us. The tab opens but just says "loading" and never completes. Opening a new tab resolves the issue. In Edge Management Service when you create a new Configuration Profile, the 'Customization Settings' tab is available. On the 'Enterprise Secure AI' page of this tab, all settings are blue/checked giving the impression that these settings are enabled and active. But they are not. For a new Configuration Profile the related settings are not available/present in the Policies tab. This gives the impression that (from the 'Enterprise Secure AI' perspective) the settings are enabled but in reality they are not because the policies are not present in the Policies tab. This is confusing. This behavior-by-design could be changed, suggestion: Check box = Grey/unchecked: Not configured = setting not in Policies tab (Edge defaults apply) Check box = Blue/unchecked: Configured = setting in Policies tab = 'disabled' Check box = Blue/checked: Configured = setting in Policies tab = 'enabled' A consideration to take by the Development team for Edge Management Service. To reproduce the bug: If you don't have multiple virtual desktops press Win Key + Tab and click the "New Desktop icon. Press Control key + Win Key + left arrow to go to Desktop 1. Right click on the desktop and select "Personalize" Click the "Background" panel. Select the "Slideshow" option from the drop-down box. On the "Choose a picture album for a slideshow" panel choose a folder with some pictures for the slideshow. On the "Change picture every" panel choose 1 minute from the drop-down box. On the "Shuffle the picture order" panel turn the switch to "off". On the "Choose a fit for your desktop image" choose "Fill" from the drop-down box. Dismiss the "Personalization > Background" by clicking the X at the top right of the window. Press Control key + Win Key + right arrow to go to Desktop 2. Press Control key + Win Key + left arrow to go to Desktop 1. Right click on the desktop and select "Personalize" Click the "Background" panel. Currently the only option would be to clear all cookies for the browser, but wondered if there was a way to automate the clearing of cookies for a specific URL? Hi, folks. As stated, I'm running the latest version of Ubuntu 24.04 LTS from a live USB. I recently installed Edge, and when launching through the CLI, I get the following error: [28366:28366:0527/014811.095701:FATAL:credentials.cc(127)] Check failed: . : Permission denied (13) This is the output I get when launching using the sudo microsfoft-edge-stable --no-sandbox command.
