Stream classic videos has been deleted and unable to access them from Team SharePoint site.
One of our DevOps SharePoint sites has multiple videos which were in stream classic and now we are unable to access those videos without receiving any notification (no email to the site owner as well). Please help us to retrieve these videos as those are essential part of our site and not available anywhere else. Thanks in advance.Solvedv-nehajainJul 17, 2024Microsoft799Views0likes2CommentsMy Global Admin account can't access migration tool
Anyone else having an issue with launching the migration tool (I'm doing so as a global admin)? I either get a message about failing a conditional access policy (which, looking at the sign in logs, doesn't appear to be happening) or the tool launches, but says it is not connected to Stream. Clicking the button Connect to Stream just takes me back to the admin page where I can launch the migration tool. Am trying to get our migration wrapped up, but can't if I can't get to the migration tool. Trying to figure out if this is a "just me" thing or if it's a larger Microsoft thing. Thanks.SolvedFolcoTook13Mar 25, 2024Copper Contributor639Views0likes2CommentsGlobal Admin unable to access Stream Classic 3/14
When the Global Admin attempts to access Stream Classic via https://web.microsoftstream.com they get a black page with a button to invite coworkers. When clicking invite they get a dialog saying the feature is unavailable. Screenshot attached. There are some videos in Stream Classic so I would like to be able to run the inventory report in PowerShell and have the ability to change Ownership of Stream Classic videos prior to migration. At present, there are over 500,000 videos that I need to transfer from Classic SharePoint to SharePoint Online. As a test migration, I am attempting to relocate several orphaned videos to the SP site at https://xxxxxxxx.sharepoint.com/sites/StreamVideos. However, when I initiate the Migration Tools and choose the Migration option, the videos display an orange triangle with an exclamation mark. Upon accessing the video settings to edit the destination and selecting SharePoint, the "Select a SharePoint site" option fails to find my SP Site, despite my being an administrator of the site. my SP Site. The site was created on Feb 2, 2024, I'm an Admin of the site, and able to access the site. Any ideas on how I can resolve the this issue? Our office computers are PC so we don't have the handy free and easy to use features to record how-to videos on our screen or edit them in a free easy to use editing software. Training and Development is looking for a tool for employees to use to de-centralize video tutorials of how to do their job within a framework and guide they are creating. Is there a technology we can use or recommend within Office 365? We used to be able to have employees create Skype for Business meetings with themselves and record them, they could then use the screen share option and create these quick easy self tutorial videos. Looking for a new solution!SolvedstephanieserblowskiNov 09, 2023Brass Contributor739KViews6likes45CommentsHighlighted content webpart 'See all' link issue
We are noticing an issue where we have a Highlighted content webpart showing only videos on the homepage. However, when some users click the 'See all' link they will redirect to SeeAll.ASPX but they will see all Most recent Documents. This happens Site Visitors. But when I visit the exact same link, I view the Most recent Videos (= correct). I dont understand why the link behaves differently for different users, I think that is a bug. Next to that there is a checkbox in the WebPart settings, 'Show title and actions'. I believe that should disable the See All links. However, that checkbox cannot be switched at all, doesnt repond. So found two issue on the day of the go live of our new video portal 😞SolvedJWiersem1925Nov 08, 2023Brass Contributor585Views0likes2CommentsMigrating Videos bigger than 15 GB - Redirection after migration
Hi, The migration tool doesn't support migrating videos more than 15 GB and the tool throws an error. The Microsoft workaround is to migrate these videos manually but then the redirection doesn't work. Is there any way to migrate these videos and make the redirection to work?Solvedjoaquin_ajenjoNov 06, 2023Copper Contributor992Views0likes2CommentsStream Office Hours - APAC Customers
Hi Microsoft. I would love to attend some of the Stream Office Hours to try and sort out the issues that are blocking us from starting our migration. Unfortunately, like all the other Microsoft products/services (OneDrive, Teams, etc.) they are only offered at hours that cater for customers in AMEA region (or similar). Almost always, Microsoft Office Hours are offered at ~1-4AM for me (APAC region) so can't attend any of them. It would be great if you could offer alternative hours that cater for all your customers. equally.
