Transfer a 365 Personal Subscription

Yes, you can upgrade your Microsoft 365 Personal subscription to a Family subscription and add your son to it:

1. Upgrade to Family Subscription:
   • Purchase the Microsoft 365 Family subscription from the Microsoft Store.
   • Your existing Personal subscription will automatically convert to a Family subscription, and any remaining time on your Personal subscription will be added to the Family subscription.
2. Add Family Members:
   • Once you have the Family subscription, you can add up to 5 family members. Go to the Microsoft 365 Family subscription page and invite your son to join.
3. Transfer OneDrive Contents:
   • Your son's OneDrive contents will remain intact as long as he uses the same Microsoft account. When he joins the Family subscription, his OneDrive storage will be upgraded to the Family plan without any data loss.
   • If you want to manually transfer files, you can share the files from his OneDrive account to yours and then move them to your OneDrive.
4. Cancel His Subscription:
   • After successfully adding your son to the Family subscription, you can cancel his individual Personal subscription. His OneDrive and other Office apps will continue to work under the Family subscription.
