"Copilot in Edge at work" isn't available

For the past few days, 'Copilot in Edge at work' has not been available. The user is assigned an M365 E5 license and is signed into Microsoft Edge with their company account.

The Copilot button is present but points to the Copilot for personal use. When using it, the message 'Unfortunately, you have reached the limit for messages you can send to Bing within 24 hours. Please check back soon!' appears directly.

Access via m365.cloud.microsoft/chat works perfectly. However, it would be great if access was also possible in Edge in the secure corporate environment.

Quick update: There is a Microsoft case for this, and the suggested solution (opening bing.com, signing out, and signing back in) didn't really help, as expected. However, what has changed is that accounts with M365 Copilot now have a functioning Copilot in Edge at Work again (so, halfway there), but unfortunately, the rest still do not. The current information is that the problem is known and will be resolved by the end of the month or early March. I'll keep the post updated and stay curious."

Thank you for your messages. In my case, the problem occurs company-wide, regardless of whether a user has a Microsoft 365 Copilot license or not. Regardless, it should work, and it's a bit frustrating because in the past, we have trained our colleagues that this (Edge Copilot Icon) is the preferred entry point for Copilot (Webchat).

The path via http://m365.cloud.microsoft works perfectly, but for colleagues without M365 Copilot, it's simply an additional issue, and the interaction with the content displayed in Edge is also not possible here.

In the meantime, I have opened a support case with Microsoft, and we were able to confirm the problem. Internal analyses are currently underway, and I hope that a solution will be found soon. The problem seems to have started with the felt 17th rebranding of Copilot at the end of January.

We are experiencing a similar issue.

This was working for our organization about 3 weeks ago, then something changed and will not allow users to login with their work email on the Copilot Edge Browser Sidebar, however if they use the popout feature and go to copilot.cloud.microsoft in a new tab it seems to work, but the edge browser side bar is still not functioning for most users. Using Purview, we can see that most users are accessing Copilot Chat through Microsoft 365 Apps in our tenant, or through Webchat. However, the Edge Browser sidebar seems to direct users to Microsoft Bing Chat, and that is what is causing the issue with logins. I'm glad to see that we are not the only organization experiencing this issue.
