Synchronization between O365 Calendar and MS Teams

Hi Folks,

How can i synchronize the O365 calendar to MS Teams .

I need different tasks to be created in MS teams based on schedules (meetings) in O365 Calendar . And a mail has to be triggered a week before the task completes.

Can anyone helps me out with a steps or share any link available to achieve this task.

    1. Go to the Group you want the calendar for:
    2. Click “Calendar”:
    3. Copy the URL from your browser:
    4. Add a new tab within a Channel in Teams:
    5. Select “Website”:
    6. Add a name and the URL you copied from the Outlook Web App:
    7. Sign in to Microsoft when prompted.

    Have tried this steps?

    Regards,

    Lewis

  • Agree with Magnus here. Planner would be something I would look into for immediate task management. It even has a calendar view but no calendar integration into Outlook. Tasks module will be fairly powerful going forward once it releases and gets expanded. Power Automate flows can help with reminders etc. by utilizing "Reoccrence" triggers so it runs weekly, scans what you put in for it to check and sends notifications based on the results. You can connect this to calendars / SharePoint lists and planner.
  • Hi Kalyankrishna! You cannot synchronize the O365 calendar to MS Teams. If You have not yet read the article "A new way to check off your to-dos—Tasks in Teams are coming soon!" i recommend that You do so. Here you can read about the opportunities that now come with tasks from Planner and To Do and how they are presented and can be managed from within Teams.

If you need to automate task creation then there is not much standard functionality available today so I recommend you take a look at the possibilities with "Power Automate" and if you can possibly call the Graph API to create tasks in Planner based on another list or calendar.

    Best regards, Magnus
