Publishing updates in Sub Projects does not reflect it in the Master Project through EPM PWA

Hello,

We have couple of projects under a Master project in Project Server 2019 (on-premises). However when we update the sub-projects, the updates does not reflect in the Master Project.

Than you

Thanks for the response. Even though your PMs have updated their projects using the PWA user interface, they will still need to open their projects in Microsoft Project and then publish the latest changes. This will cause the master project to be updated. Hope this helps.

Are you opening the master project in Microsoft Project Professional? Let us know and we will try to help you.

Thank you Dale_HowardMVP for taking time in responding to my concern and for your kind gesture.

As we know that we cannot create/edit the Master project from the web interface (correct me if I am wrong), so we created the Master Project from MS Project Professional and added the sub-projects as "Read-only".

Our concern is that we do not want to give licenses of MS Project to the Project Managers (PjM) so we have given the license to the Program Manager (PgM) only. However, the PgM should not edit the project itself. Moreover, the Executives should be able to see the updates happening on the Master Project through the web interface.

You left out one very important piece of information. Who is responsible for updating the subprojects? Please let us know and we will try to help you.
