Video - Can My Employer View My Microsoft Teams Chat History? I read an article in the news last week about a viral TikTok video that was urging people to be careful what they share with colleagues in Teams chat because employers can see all chat messages and chat history. As a result, I decided to create a video answering the question: Can your employer view your Microsoft Teams chat history? Spoiler alert: the answer is Yes. However, as I explain in the video, this capability is typically only used when an employer has a reason to use it and more often than not these reasons tend to be extraordinary (i.e. Investigations of unethical behaviour, whistleblower complaints, allegations or harassment or other). Further, I also explain the types of controls and processes that are put in place to govern this capability and ensure its not misused. Lastly, in the latter part of the video I also demonstrate how an employer can view your chat history as its nowhere near as simple as "pull up someone's instance of Microsoft Teams and look through there chats".335KViews0likes4CommentsUnknown User displayed in chats
Hi All, Some of our employees have a list of Unknown users displayed while the "Unknown User" is an active user in AD/AAD/O365. I picked one affected employee and reinstalled Office 365 and Teams but the issue reoccured after a while. I've found a previous post which has not been solved from 2017 here Does anyone has any information about this bug?Solved280KViews1like2CommentsTeams meeting history
Seems like I have to be missing something, but I can't find this anywhere: where do I see a history of meetings I have joined in Teams (e.g., when I joined, when it stopped, and the duration)? I see "calls" under "History" in the "Activity" space, but don't see meetings, and through searching on here and online more generally, don't see a way to get that info.264KViews2likes12CommentsMicrosoft Teams - iPad app
Hi all, Due to the current climate, my workplace (secondary school) is switching to using the Microsoft Office platform to deliver our classes remotely. We currently use windows laptops but being a Mathematics teacher I also use my iPad to do particularly tricky sketches. My current problem is that I have downloaded Microsoft teams to my iPad and it is the latest version, however I am unable to make "meetings" on the iPad. This feature is enabled by the school as I can do it on my laptop. I have looked into trouble shooting the issue and it seems to have been an issue since 2017 but none of the trouble shooting I've tried has worked. A colleague of mine started a meeting which I was then able to join on my iPad, but I am unable to actually find the button or where on the app I can start a meeting from. Is anyone able to please share some insight as to what I can do? Alternatively provide me with a recommendation on how I can use my iPad as a tablet to then connect to my laptop so I can continue to sketch on that; cast the iPad screen to my laptop and then I can share my screen (laptop) with the students? Apologies for the long winded questioning, I want to ensure that I am able to maximise my abilities to teach remotely in this particularly difficult time. I have created a Team for use within a specific Group of which all members use Office 365 and the Outlook Calendar to plan time off, meetings etc. To improve collaborative working I would like details on personal calendars (and respective group calendars) to be visible on the Teams Calendar so that all information relating to Team Members diversions etc are shown in one area. Is this possible with what Teams provides or do I need to procure an additional App/Plug in. Can anyone please provide details of how I do this so that it can be presented to the Team during a call later this week. The aim of doing this is to reduce the need for Team members to have to update numerous Calendars and planning Sheets and to have all information in one place to assist and enhance planning. Many thanks156KViews1like5CommentsMS Teams Whiteboard - Compatibility with pen tablet
Hi there, I have a specific question around MS Teams Whiteboard. The functionality is great to have but many of the educators I work with, would have very specific things to draw on the board that is hard to draw using a mouse. Are there pen tablets out there that will definitely work with MS Teams Whiteboard to allow educators to draw more complex things with their class? I have looked at Wacom pen tablets but I can't seem to find a definite answer for this question. Any insight would be amazing!144KViews6likes10CommentsWhy Teams is slowing down my Mac?
It's been a while since I've been having issues with my MacBook Pro 16" performance while using teams for example in a call or in a live event, and I can't even think of having the app open while editing a video or editing some graphics in Illustrator or Photoshop... Microsoft Teams "Helper" is using over 1 GB of RAM while just open + 200 mb the app itself, while in a call gets crazy... Has anyone having this issue?? My Mac's system overview is: - MacPro 16" 2019 - 2.6 GHz 6-Core i7 - 16 gb RAM - AMD Radeon Pro 5300 4GB - Intel UHD 630 - 520 SSD Help please!!!Solved142KViews5likes33CommentsMy Laptop shuts down during TEAMS calls
Like few other collogues I'm using a new Lenovo L13 Yoga. We are using Microsoft TEAMS as our formal application for conference and video calls. Recently we started facing a "random" issue in which after some time in the call, the computer shuts down. the shut down accrues without a warning and it is a brute force shutdown i.e. without a safe close of all applications. It is as if you were pressing a long press on the power button. We tried to reinstall TEAMS and to make sure that our laptops are working with the latest update, with no change. Did anyone ever faced this phenomenon? Any suggestions? Thanks, EricSolved118KViews3likes158Comments
