How can we update the SIP address for users in a Lync Server 2013 / Skype for Business hybrid scenario? When I go to the Lync Server 2013 control panel and look up the user, I cannot edit the SIP Address. What is the supported method for updating the SIP address? PowerShell? ADSI edit? If so, which field or fields need to be updated?8.6KViews0likes3CommentsLync Server 2013: Using the DatabasePathMap Parameter to Deploy Databases

Hi, I am very interested in leveraging the Skype Meeting Broadcast capabilities for our company. We have E1 licenses for everyone but our Skype deployment is using Lync Server 2013 on-prem, and will likely remain that way for a while. I have been reading through the documentation for this and it isn't clear to me if Skype for Business Server 2015 is required to do this hybrid setup or if we can do hybrid with Lync Server 2013 and still use Broadcast. I started with this article: Office Support - What is a Skype Meeting Broadcast? At the bottom there is a link to hybrid deployments, which specifies that the article is for Skype for Business Server 2015. That is why I thought it was a requirement... however, once inside that article, I saw there was this article: Plan hybrid connectivity between Skype for Business Server and Skype for Business Online, which contained instructions server 2015 as well as 2013 here: Planning for Lync Server 2013 hybrid deployments. It looks like the hybrid configuration is supported with Lync Server 2013 on premises, but I can't tell for sure if that includes support for Skype Meeting Broadcast, or of that is just for basic capabilities. Any insight you can provide is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Brian1.3KViews1like1CommentLync Server 2013 Networking Guide: Network Planning, Monitoring, and Troubleshooting with Microsoft Lync Server
