Problem when entering fullscreen mode on YouTube
From many days I am seeing that sometimes when I try to enter fullscreen mode on YouTube, a weird thing occurs, the browser does not go to fullscreen mode, stays in windowed mode and the video shows a very weird resolution which appears to be a square on the screen. I have also sent feedback about this issue through the in-app feedback tool (Alt+Shift+I) in Microsoft Edge.What happened to back button and refresh button on YouTube PWA
I today installed YouTube PWA from the Microsoft Edge Canary channel and what I saw is the back and refresh buttons on the left of titlebar are missing. I only saw it on the YouTube PWA. Has anyone else noticed this? Please resolve this issue as soon as possible as it makes unable to use the YouTube PWA johnjansen Deleted
The new icons in Canary make Edge's design feel even more disconnected from Windows.
The new icons in Canary don't match those of the rest of the Windows operating system. In any Windows app, the settings icon has 8 spokes on the gear--you can see this in the Start menu and in the settings icon in apps like Microsoft News, Photos, and Camera. The normal Home icon can be seen in the Windows Settings app and in Backstage View in the Microsoft Office apps. The new Canary channel icons don't match those anymore. It makes Edge's design even more inconsistent with Windows's design than it already is. It's bad enough that Edge retains Material Design from Chromium, but it's worse that Edge is going to replace the only parts of the design that feel consistent with Windows. To my knowledge, Fluent design has separate mobile and desktop icons to feel natural on every device. Mobile icons should not be used on Windows. EDIT: looking more closely at their wording on the iconography and here, it looks like the new icons are going to be the same across all of Microsoft.Problems in Microsoft Edge Canary
I am finding many problems today from when I have opened Microsoft Edge Canary. The version is 85.0.537.0. Firstly, when I opened and started updating Microsoft Edge, it stuck at 66% and was not responding, so I closed it. When I reopened it, Edge started showing some notifications one-by-one that all of my extensions have crashed. Then I saw that none of the webpages was opening, even NTP. So, after trying a handful of times I came to a conclusion of uninstalling and then reinstalling the browser. The browser uninstalled successfully but when I downloaded and opened the installer, it started showing an error given below: So now I am stuck here. This feature is seen from Microsoft Edge (Canary) version 86.0.570.0 As the title says, there is a new feature added in Microsoft Edge in which when you select the text, you will get an option to search the web and when you will click that option, a new tab will be opened and that selected text will be searched. This feature currently works on bing.com but I think it would be added to all websites in the future and also can be improved a lot. From Microsoft Edge Canary version 86.0.621.0, the Paste and Go feature is back from the Microsoft Edge Legacy. For users who don't know, Paste and Go is a feature where if you right-click on the address bar and click Paste and Go, then Microsoft Edge will paste the URL or text in the address bar and automatically take you to that website or search the text respectively. Hey there, Have submitted feedback, but thought to post a discussion about this also. Before the Canary update, when we pinned tabs in the browser, they would display the icon for the site. This was ideal for me as it made space for other tabs on the vertical tabs sidebar. With the latest update, this feature has been changed. It would be nice if we had a setting toggle which allowed us to show site icons for pinned tabs and site icons, and page title for other non-pinned tabs Nathan,In-browser theme not syncing with the theme from Chrome Web Store
I am using the latest Edge Canary build and have tried themes from the Chrome Web Store. Everything works perfectly except the In-browser theme not syncing with the selected custom theme. For example, when we install these themes in chrome, the In-browser theme syncs with the installed theme meaning that if we install classic blue or serenity, then the In-browser theme would be changed/kept light or if we install just black, then the In-browser theme would be changed/kept dark. The issue is depicted in the following screenshots with Just Blue as the theme:
