The Chronicle of Philanthropy posted Fundraisers Reach for A.I. to Boost Productivity (philanthropy.com), a look into how nonprofits are using AI boost fundraising work. The biggest takeaway: AI saves time, a critical benefit for many nonprofits facing budget and resource constraints. The reluctance that AI will make donors feel less connected or that fundraising will feel more impersonal is unfounded, by these fundraisers' experiences. Instead, AI is working as a co-creator and "little robot assistant" for content, meetings, ideas, proposals, emails, and more. “You’re able to save time,” CJ Orr, president of the Orr Group says. “You’re able to put out more letters, send more emails, do more proposals, more solicitations, more meetings and raise more money. At the end of the day, it is really just making fundraising more productive.” The value of AI is an important edge for nonprofits of all sizes. AI tools are accessible to any organization - allowing organizations of any size to benefit from the time savings. “For organizations with less resources, these tools are a game changer,” Orr says. “A one-person shop could only reach out to 100 people over the course of a year. Now that one-person shop can ramp that up and do a lot more. So these are going to be so helpful for smaller shops without a doubt.” Read the article here Fundraisers Reach for A.I. to Boost Productivity (philanthropy.com).
