My organization wants to change email address of O365 group. I am not able to find any power shell to change email address of already created O365 group. I tried below command but it is not working. Hi all, I tried to search to see if anyone had already asked, but did not find any answers. Today, I renamed one of my O365 Groups, but found the experience to be underwhelming: - No option to change the associated email address - The OneDrive associated to the group does not get renamed, nor is there an option to do so Are there any plans in the making to improve the remaning experience? Just renaming the group is likely to create confusion. I do understand the complexity of ensuring that a new email address, or OneDrive name is not already in use, but maybe offering the option to make the change manually, and thus have a check against existing names could work. We are moving from an on-premise Exchange 2013 environment (using Hybrid) and we have to move our DLs to the cloud. I can create them through powershell as a distribution group, but that does not write back to our local AD (using AADConnect). So using the Unified Group commands, I can create them and they write back. The problem is the welcome message. We are not ready for users to use the extra features of the groups, plus we have users that are a part of several hundred DLs, based on what customers they take care of. I see the attribute WelcomeMessageEnabled, but am unable to change that to $False. I have also tried using mail rules to delete the message based on content in subject or body, but again no go. Does anyone have any way of turning these off? This will create a huge helpdesk and support nightmare if I can not turn these off. We have recently fixed the email sending behavior to a group, where senders had complained about receiving the emails they send to a group, back in their personal inbox. With this fix, senders will no longer receive the emails they send to a group, back in their personal inbox. The sender can receive email sent to group in there Inbox, they have to login to there mailbox using OWA, and then Settings->Mail->Groups->"Send me a copy of email I send to a group" The primary complaints we heard were about reading the same message users sent to a group multiple times - in their sent messages, and their inbox. We believe sending an email to a person or to a group should be consistent, and this circling back of an email from a group was just leading to confusion, unnecessary triage, and inconvenience for a lot of our users. We understand that some users had started using this inconsistent behavior as a way to confirm if their emails were delivered to a group. An email sent to a group is already available in the group's conversation archive as well as in the sender's sent email. Update (4/7/2017): Thanks for all your valuable feedback. Though a good majority of our users have embraced this change for Groups, there's also a section of our users who complained about this change affecting their workflows. We value all the feedback from our users and hence we are considering enhancing this feature to address the negative feedback. Seems like a very recent change but if you email a group that you are a member of you no longer get the message in your own inbox. If others email the group you get the message so you are subscribed properly and I can confirm same issue against other groups. You can see the mesage in your Sent Items and in the Group itself. Is there a way to convert a O365 group to a shared mailbox; or at least move all of the emails/conversations from an O365 group to a shared mailbox? I know that it is recommended to use O365 groups rather than shared mailboxes, however, until I can easily setup a way to automatically send "from" an O365 group, it is just easier to open up a shared mailbox from OWA and use that. My use case is I want a "office@company.com" email address that I can assign to the office secretary and yet have the secretary have their own account. This way, the person in the secretary position changes, I can just re-assign the "office@company.com" email and all of the associated information (contacts, calendar, etc).86KViews2likes8CommentsCreate a meeting in a 365-Group calendar without inviting the whole team? First, the question We have an issue. We want to replace our Shared Mailbox Calendar with the 365-Group Calendar. We use the calendar exclusively to create meetings with our customers. Unfortunately, every time someone creates a meeting with e.g. one customer and one employee, the 365-Group invites itself to the meeting. The result is that everybody in that 365-Group receives an invite. We checked very carefully not to invite the Group, but once you send out the invitation to the attendees, the group automatically and unavoidably adds itself as a participant. My question is, how to achieve this? Now the critic There is a very active uservoice with 718 votes and 109 comments, that suffer with the same issue. Although Microsoft blatantly said "BOOM! IT'S DONE" it doesn't work at all. Dozens of people are complaining about this, but Microsoft stays silent about it. That is very frustrating. In my opinion the right way for Microsoft would be to follow-up on implemented features and ask the people if they work as intended. Hello, What can we do to fix or troubleshoot the following isssue: In Outlook Online we can see our office 2016 groups, but in Outlook 2016 we see no groups listed below the header "Groups".
