Outlook 365
26 TopicsOutlook 365 keeps asking for password with Exchange 2019
Hi guys, I would like to ask if you didn't face the similar problem last few weeks when using Outlook 365 connecting to on-premise Exchange 2019. Office 365 does not have exchange online setup and there is not authorized domain, so there couldn't be any colision with on-premise exchange autodiscovery. Few users using Outlook 365 started reporting that their Outlook keeps asking for password and when I was remotely connected to those users, they used correct username and password in the prompt (so there is not any problem with DOMAIN\ or @domain.com username format). Their login to OWA works correctly so password is correct too. The worst is I cannot find any reason why it's still asking for password and in very random intervals. It’s also good to say that Outlook 2019 does not have such issue and all users with Outlook 2019 works correctly and problem is observed only on Outlook 365. Couldn't be there some incomaptible update in Outlook 365 inside, as our team didn't do any update to Exchange 2019 for more than 3 months including update, configuration change (except new users) and I'm 100% sure that exchange is not changed anyhow. This is one of the most basic tasks that even the most non-technical users expect: saving a file from (browser-based) Outlook to SharePoint. WHY do users have to download files or save it to their OneDrive first, instead of being able to just save it to SharePoint directly? This question has been asked numerous times before. Since we haven't seen a response via Uservoice since 2016, could someone from Microsoft please respond here? I don't want to have to rely on an expensive third-party tool for something that should obviously be a standard feature. Thank you.Solved15KViews1like11CommentsAutomate Business Email Management Using AI Builder and Power Apps: Step-by-Step Guide

Hi @all in the Exchange Hub, I have some questions regarding the possibility to allow users uploading S/MIME certificates to the global adress list. We get the certificates from a third-party supplier (no self-generation via AD) At the moment we are using an on-premise mail server (no Exchange) and want to migrate to Exchange Online. We built a test-environment with a local Active Directory and a Microsoft 365 Tenant. I´ve done a test with my account in Outlook 365. All works. I was able to import the certificate and publish it in the GAL. A pop-up confirmed the successfull upload to the GAL On another account we tried the same and got following message: "There are no valid security settings to publish. Do you want to remove the previously published settings?" (sorry, translated it from german). If I press no --> nothing happens If I press yes --> following message appears: "Your certificates were successfully removed" --> and nothing happens (no confirmation of successfull uploading) Where is the error? What I have to configurate that it works? And another essential question: If I search in the microsoft docs how users can publish certificates I can only find the path: Outlook --> local Active Directory --> AD Connect --> Exchange Online Is this the only way of publishing? Background of this question: I mentioned above that the GAL publishing of my certificate worked. I can't find the certificate in the local Active Directory in the userCertificate attribute. But I can find a certificate (via PowerShell) in ExchangeOnline. Hope you understand my questions. Thanks in advance for answering 🙂5.4KViews0likes3CommentsGet email addresses from Excel Attachment and Send emails
Pls need help creating a Power Automate flow: When I receive a certain email (Outlook 365) with an Excel attachment, get the email addresses from column D in the Excel attachment, then forward the original email I received to that list of email addresses.Microsoft Search in Bing doesn't show results from Outlook conversations (Inbox or Groups)
I was working for a client and wanted to show them a single place to search content from all their different Office 365 products and got excited to see Microsoft Bing search and it's capabilities. But, while using it, I saw that there is no way to bring the results from Outlook , either your inbox or the group conversations you are part of. It is showing conversations from Yammer and Microsoft Teams, but not Outlook Conversations. Same thing is happening if search from office.com is used. It feels like Microsoft has deliberately hidden the results from Outlook. On the other hand, I know that Outlook mailboxes are indexed and can be tagged for e-discovery cases. Is there a way to bypass this and show conversations (Inbox emails/ Group conversations) related to the user who is performing the search operation? Is this something coming in future as a connector? Any idea what is going on?2.1KViews0likes4CommentsOutlook Teams add in not working if signed in

Multiple staff members have created BOOKINGS calendars with names very similar to their "regular, primary" email addresses - and other staff are mistakenly grabbing the BOOKINGS address, rather than their primary address, from the GAL. I know that the BOOKINGS email addresses can be hidden from the GAL - but are there any functional ramifications to hiding a BOOKINGS email address, such that it's not a good idea to hide them? (i.e. reminders or other automated processes don't work as expected? Bookings calendar not visible somewhere that it should be? Bookings appointments don't flow into user's Outlook as expected? etc.?) Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions.1.5KViews1like0CommentsDo not store sent emails from distribution group in Exchange Online
Hi there. I have a distribution group for send only email, like a no-reply email. The distribution group email address is being used by an SMTP service and the setup is working perfectly, but the sent items are being stored in the "Send as" email address which is used to login in the SMTP and for the real sender account. This is my configuration: Sender: noreply@... Username: info@... and password SMTP: outlook.office365.com | 587 I tried to use rules to delete Sent emails from the distribution group stored in info@... sent items, but these rules are only applied on Inbox folder. Any suggestion on how can I achieve this? For me sounds like it is a configuration that should be somewhere, because why should I store and increase the size of my mailbox for emails that are only for information/not relevant? Thanks for your time ^^1.4KViews0likes2Comments
