Hi all, Microsoft announced a general price increase of D365 licenses, with a increase of 10-15% for certain suites. See following blog: New pricing for Microsoft Dynamics 365 effective October 2024 - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Blog. I wonder how this price increase will affect the Base/Attach model and combinations you can make. Eg. the D365 Sales Enterprise license with increase from $95 --> $105. While the D365 BC Premium will remain on $100 (no increase for BC). This means, Sales Enterprise will be more expensive than BC Premium. Currently we can attach Sales Enterprise on a BC Premium license: General rule of thumb is that the Base license must be the highest priced license, and Attach licenses should be the cheaper licenses. But with this price change this will be turned around between Sales/BC. So how will this price increase impact the Base/Attach model for such cases and existing customers? Hello. There's a September 2023 licensing deck floating around out there from MSFT saying that Customer Voice will be end of sale as of 10/1. This is not documented anywhere else and I'd very much like to know what's up? Will there be a successor product or will this functionality be baked into the basic version of Microsoft Forms.Solved8.8KViews3likes22CommentsDynamic 365 Business Central Attach license
Hello! Regarding the new Business Central Attach license, what are the rules for storage? According to the licensing guide, attach licenses do not add any extra storage. So, let's say a customer is planning to buy Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise and also Business Central as an attach. Will that customer then be able to use the 80 GB of storage included in the base license (without necessarily buying a base license?), or will the customer only have access to the application and need to purchase additional storage for Business Central separately?1.3KViews2likes2CommentsLicensing question regarding PowerApps for external users
Hello , I have a question for the following scenario where I do not find an answer in the licensing guides: We are implementing a Dynamics Sales project where we set up the quoting process in Dynamics CE. Internal users are using the quoting beside other topics (Account-, Activity-, Opportunity-Management, ...) in the Sales Hub App with a normal Dynamics Sales license. But we have also external users who need the functionality only in a limited way to get pricing information for an account, so they will only use e.g. accounts, activities and quotes. For these users we want to build an own small model driven app which contains only the necessary forms and tables to get the price info using the quote functionality. As they will not write any restricted tables we want to use a Power Apps license for them and give them an own small model driven Power App. The external users are commercial agents of our customer who are not in an employee-like relationship with our customer but selling his stuff on his behalf and are only guest users in active directory. As the licensing requirements in the licensing guides for external users are different between D365 and Power Platform we are nor sure how to license this scenario. Is it correct that also external users can get a Power App licence from our customer (he will purchase the licenses for them) as we can add them as a guest user in AD? Are there any limitations beside the restricted tables we have to be aware of using a power apps license? Thank`s for your answer and regards!Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises availability for customers with enhancement plan
Microsoft announced that Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises will only be available until March 31th of 2025. However, one of our Dynamics NAV customers with an active enhancement plan would like to upgrade to the newest version of Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises at a later date, probably not until beginning of 2026. Will it be possible to make the transition for this customer from Dynamics NAV to Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises in 2026?SolvedCustomer Insights: default database capacity
Hello, I would like to know if, in the context of the initial deployment of Dynamics 365 Sales or Customer Service with Customer Insights as an Attach, we indeed have a Dataverse database capacity of 25 GB included on the tenant. The licensing guide explains that the default capacity is not cumulative; however, if the client simultaneously purchases their Sales / Service seats and Customer Insights, do they indeed have 25 GB and not 10 GB? The guide specifies that the first base license for a Dynamics 365 product includes its default capacity. The term 'first' is ambiguous; are we indeed looking at a maximum of 25 GB vs 10 GB = 25 GB? A reference from Microsoft would be appreciated if possible.Power Automate Licensing
Hi, I'm trying to understand the licensing around Power Automate.. the documentation is somewhat confusing so I can't figure it out exactly. So let's say someone built a cloud flow with a Premium connector therefore took out a Premium license all sorted on that.... could the owner then share that flow with run-only privileges to other users and they are able to run it too, (even if they didn't have a license assigned?).... Would it just run on the primary owners license? OR would they be required to have a Power Automate Premium license too? And for the Process license, the flow is licensed, so everyone can use without have a premium licensed assigned to each user? Please can someone let me know if I’m correct in my thinking or at least clarify :). Thanks so much
