Hi All, Just upgraded to 'new' Teams.... and to be honest was hoping that maybe we would finally be able to group chats into folders (or similar) - but no - nothing really seems any different! Is there any chance at some point we can group chats? At present you have a never ending long list of past chats - which is super unusable! All we can do is Pin the most important as favourites.32KViews42likes14CommentsTeams Calendar - please show my categories/colors from Outlook Exchange
I use categories/colors heavily on my Outlook calendar so I can quickly and easily tell what type of meeting it is (status, client, sales, personal, etc.). I am often double-booked and this makes it easier to make decisions on what takes highest priority. I am new to Teams and loving it! Especially the calendar features now that we are all working from home. But it would be SO MUCH BETTER if it obeyed and showed the category/color settings from my Outlook Exchange calendar in the Teams calendar. Please consider adding this as a feature in an upcoming version.Solved85KViews32likes14CommentsCannot hide gallery in "focus on content" or "full screen" mode
Hi There, Previously, when I selected "focus on content" on Teams, the gallery would be hidden. Recently, I reinstalled my laptop and found out that after "focus on content" is select, all the other attendants face would be hidden, but not mine. The following picture shows the screenshot of the Teams. This phenomenon also happens when I use "Full Screen". Someone knows how to solved it? Thanks in advance ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [update 1/28/2022]: A new Team v1.4.00.35564 has been released, and solved this issue. Please update your team.Solved33KViews31likes60CommentsNew Teams - Video freezing
I have no issues using the "old" version of teams. The problem only occurs in the "new" version. In a meeting all incoming video turns black (including shared screens). my image "floats" in the middle of the screen and is also frozen. The "mini" window when I minimize the application during a meeting show live/unfrozen incoming video of the speaker. Version Info: You have Microsoft Teams version 23231.413.2355.7555. You've got the latest version. It was last updated on 9/12/2023. The client version is 49/23082000931.102KViews27likes219CommentsMouse button 'Back/Forward' not working in 'New Teams'
Though there are options to 'pop out' windows from Teams, Teams is a generally a single page app. As such, one of my most used features in 'Classic Teams' is switching back 'n forth between several 'tabs' I'm currently working with. Say I've got somebody on chat, but then have to quickly check something in Teams, then go back to chat. In Classic Teams this works just fine using the mouse's back & forward buttons. In 'New' Teams, this no longer registers any action at all. I assume the feature still exists, since left of the search bar there are still the back/forward UI buttons. But moving the mouse over for every time you need to switch back and forth is a lot slower and less intuitive than just using the mouse buttons. Current behavior: Mouse 'back'/'forward' buttons do not work in 'New Teams' Expected behavior: Mouse 'back/forward' buttons register the 'back' and 'forward' navigation commands as they did in 'Classic' Teams5.3KViews22likes16CommentsTeams screen sharing made easy across multiple users
A feature many can benefit from at the enterprise level is allowing multiple people to share screens and then allow the viewers to easily see what screen is selected. 1 person can drive and switch screens but when it switches its the user who's screen is sharing at that time. The issue we encounter is with our Scrum teams and Scrum Masters driving the screen but then we have product owners who regularly run the meetings as well. It is a pain to keep waiting for screens to stop sharing and the other person connecting. It takes time every time so we end up having 1 person drive the whole time but then our flow is a bit more choppy. I think about this as being in person and 1 person standing up to present and the other person having a comment or wanting to write something on the board or show something they can just get up and do it. I see this working in Teams virtually when multiple people are collaborating and have different tools they are using. Some on our calls are using Salesforce, Rally, SNOW, excel, power point, etc and trying to show all across multiple people who own each of those documents is a pain.Solved92KViews22likes14CommentsWhy does Teams always strip indentation when pasting text?
It's fairly common to want to post code in teams (without using the special formatting for code snippets). The markdown like syntax for code works pretty well when typing code and it preserves indentation. But when you paste XML or JSON all the indentation is removed. Why? Here's an example: That XML was indented in the source. But whenever we paste JSON or XML we lose indentation. Unless we take the extra effort to use a code snippet. Or manually type it for small examples.Solved63KViews15likes57CommentsDesktop App Lag - typing msgs, switching channels, etc
You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.3564 (64-bit). It has seemed to have gotten worse on the Windows app. When typing messages in chats or channels, especially when typing during a screenshare. Switching channels or between different part of the app is sluggish. I've updated my video drivers just because.. Radeon Pro. Mobile client doesnt seem to have the same lag, nor does the Web app. I dont see it to be network bandwidth at this point.. just that the app can drag from time to time. Super annoying.Solved49KViews15likes16CommentsDefault audio devices in teams
Hi All, I use a Lenovo X1 carbon 6th Generation laptop along with a Thunderbolt Docking station. (Windows 10 operating system) I use a usb headset for teams/ meetings and calls. When I unplug my headset, Teams defaults to my docking station. When I plug it back in, my docking station remains as default without automatically placing my headset back as default. (My headset is defaulted for all sound devices) My headset will appear in device options in Teams and I have to re-select it there in order to use it in -teams again. I've found that even after unplugging my docking station and only having my PC speakers and internal microphone as options, Teams will not automatically default back to my headset. It will remain defaulted to my PC speakers and internal microphone. Teams only defaults back if every other sound option is disabled from the sound control panel. However, other meeting software like Zoom and Cisco Webex automatically default to my headset (or whatever new sound device is plugged in) each time without me having to disable other sound devices or re-select it from the Zoom/Webex devices menu. I and many other users at my company have noticed this behavior. Does anyone have any hints or clues to help us out? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!68KViews14likes17Comments
